THE READING PLEASURE

in Weekend Experiences20 days ago (edited)

If you has a peek in my life, you may probably find it amusing, what I engage in for fun. It's not any of the usual things everyone would identify with.

Beung alone is fun, for me. Just having a space to myself where I can walk from corner to corner freely, doing anything and everything I like, trying out all of the things I could not do in the presence of others and just enjoying the calm. It's not so bad to just feel like I am alone in my own world. I enjoy it.

And to top-up on that fun, I drown myself in books. I read. I have been reading back to back in the last few weeks. No, of course not, I've not had the time to enjoy my novels. The reading is courtesy of school exams(last paper is tomorrow, by the way), which I can't wait to get over with.

Books are a great past-time for me. An escape from whatever. Hand me a book and watch my face brighten up immediately and see me drifting to a world only found between pages.

There are still a couple other things I could do alone to fulfill the kind of fun I like but reading tops it. I can not wait to get done with my exams and start out a new book. For a while, I've been compiling to-reads and I itch to begin already.

Reading gives me satisfaction. It relaxes me, develops my thinking and imaginative capacity. It broadens my knowledge and vocabulary. I told a friend on here just recently that I feel like my pen-game has dwindled and I was certain that it was due to the depreciation in my devotion to reading. It's not anything I can properly explain, but reading helps me write better. It's just that.

Thanks for gracing this post.
Greetings!
