Hivers, what comes in your mind if I mention the word blue hole? Is it a blue hole in the land? Or a blue hole in the sky? or a blue box with a hole? or is it a 3D blue hole painting on the wall? Well, buckle up your seatbelt as I share this roller coaster journey to the blue hole.
Hello, hello, Hive Fam! Join me, as I navigate one of the majestic gems of Tuburan — THE MAJESTIC BLUE HOLE! This is @mkyzxna ,your storyteller of the day.
Last July 15, 2023, my friends and I graduated from senior high school. During the practice for our upcoming graduation, I and my friends plan to have a small celebration. One of my friends recommended the majestic Blue Hole. He shared his experience in the blue hole. He told us how majestic the water was, how deep and how affordable it is.
We are drowned in his constant perseverance to choose the majestic blue hole. It was also a nice idea since it was located in Tuburan and Tuburan offers the best beaches, springs, caves and other natural attractions. So we decided to go there; we planned the things that we would bring, the food, drinks and what services we should use. We came up with an idea to list down the things that we needed and who would bring that kind of dish or drink. We also set the day to be on weekend. To make sure that everyone is free because some of us have errands and work on weekdays. We also set the time when we will go because some of us will be pitched by our friends.
We start our adventure to the blue hole at exactly 6 AM. Something happened. The whole squad was grumpy because some of us didn't bring some of the designated things. Along the way, the ride was very silent, no one dared to break the silence. We also experienced some engine turbulence but we continued our journey.
Fast-forward, we already arrived in Tuburan but the squad was split because some of our friends were riding motorcycles and didn't catch up to the van. Some don't even know the exact location and because of these problems, some painful words have been thrown. The tension became worse.
We still continue our journey even though we encounter a lot of hindrances, we arrive at the blue hole at 10. After our arrival, some of my friends cooked fish and meat. Even though we arrived at the place some of my friends ignored each other.
So I made my own way to explore this gem because I don't usually go on this kind of trip with my friends. After all, my parents are afraid of what will happen.
As I roam the place, my eyes glittered to its beauty. The place screams peace with its calm blue crystal clear water and cold fresh air. It was surrounded by tall coconuts and big trees and there were also “Payag” type cottages. I also found that there was a wide swimming pool that connected to the spring. I asked some of the people there what that place was, she told me that it was for the people who wanted to wash their clothes and the top part was the source of their water. She also stated that it was for the people there. It was on the right side of the spring near the grill place.
I walked around as I kept on overthinking why the people were calling it a blue hole. One of the caretakers of the spring asked me if I wanted to rent a life jacket. As a girl who doesn't know how to swim, well I rent it. So after that moment, I grabbed the chance to ask him what's the meaning of the word Blue Hole. He told me that it was because of its color and how deep it was. No one ever reaches the bottom and no one sees anything under the water. That's what he says.
After we talked I turned my back and continued to enjoy my stay in the place. Me and my friends take photos; as I step on the bamboo and as I put my feet on the water It feels like the water is calling to me so I put on my life jacket and dive on the water. I was shocked that the water was super cold.
I looked like a small little girl enjoying the water as I swam my heart out, I even tried their swing. It was so wholesome.
My journey in the blue hole was indeed a rollercoaster. I enjoyed it very much but after that, the squad was at its edge. It was no longer as fun as before. It has a lot of changes because of pride. Despite that, we still planned to go there next time and change the bad memories to a good one.

HOW TO GET THERE?
Exact location: San Juan, Tuburan, western part of Cebu — 2 hours ride from Ilihan Tabogon Cebu.
If you have your own vehicle or if you're riding Haba-Habal and you came from Ilihan Tabogon Cebu. Go to Skina Tikyo just straight and that's it.
Here are also the list of the amount of the Parking, Cottages, Life Jacket, Salbabida and Entrance fee

- 4 Wheels. – 50 pesos
- (Overnight – 100 pesos)
- Tricycle – 30 pesos
- (Overnight – 60 pesos)
- Motorcycle – 20 pesos
- (Overnight – 40 pesos)
COTTAGES:
- Payag Style – 300 pesos
- Nipa style – 250 pesos
LIFE JACKET AND SALBABIDA:
- 50 PESOS
ENTRANCE FEE:
- 10 PESOS

The famous blue hole in Tuburan Ma'am @mkyzxna is truly amazing. I only saw it on youtube and on your blog Ma'am and I wish I can have a chance to visit the place.
