A lot of people had influence on me in my life, some were good, some were bad, others were amazingly beneficial, then there were those that started with addiction, roller coaster filled with bad habits, junk food and no goal in life.

This year a lot has changed for me, actually started last year as I was getting used to new work environment, over my whole life, most influence on me had my big brother I call Bruderus as he was the wan watching and having an eye on me since I was a baby. He gave me many, maany good life lessons, got me more enthusiastic about cars, got me a job across the border, thought me basics of mechanic and electrician and showed me how and what he was doing when he went abroad working.

Bruderus always watched and even warned me when I started going off t he "road", encouraged me to finish school, get through high school, helped me move to new apartment, added many more motivating but realistic tips & lessons of life, and he really helped me out when our father suddenly passed away by packing, extra motivation, cleaning the apartment, helping with the papers and helped me with the bills, as I was still doing school and drifted far away from my goals with addiction to drugs, video games, overeating, alcohol and sweet's.. Lots of them.

Last year I started working in new work environment, still the same job my brother brought me to work with but now I work in my home country, a job I don't really say to myself work, but more what has to be done ,has to be done. Here I'm close to another amazing influencer to my life that probably helped me the most with changing my life this year. It's our leader/director a person with huge amount of knowledge, with a vision, with goals and a boss like no other.

He is sharp, precise, always on time, hardworking, do, motivating, does more what he is there for and is still a friendly, motivating, helpful person. It started with me getting embarrassed not being as focused as I should be, because of all of my past addictions at that time, not getting enough quality sleep and a lot more.
He was the first person to give me a book to read, not one of those books we got in middle school but a real book, a book I will not forget. - Can't hurt me : by David Goggins

Since last year I learned many things, got a lot more focused, I get joy out of work, got my goals, I walk a lot more, go on hikes, try doing more than expected and started making changes.
Changes actually started in January this year.

After all the hurry, ton of work after new year, getting back to normal in the middle of the month I started feeling awkward, started noticing inflammations on my hand, on my feet, later followed with headaches & pain in my leg that after few days I wasn't able to walk or even wash dishes.
I knew by now that something has to change.

Doctors and specialists didn't find anything, so I started working on myself with the help of my boss, friends and experts. One of many quotes our director says is that " never ever quit! " and "work therapy is the best therapy". Since then, I totally quit addictions like alcohol, drugs, playing video games, changed my diet to a lot healthier one, started cooking, cleaning my apartment regularly, getting to job earlier, started doing more than needed, set goals and changed the view on the world around me.

Since then, I'm reading third book (I never read a book after high school) it's called Think and grow rich : by Napoleon Hill. Got myself a clear vision, fresh new accurate goals, taking care of myself, changing values, trying to be better than I was yesterday, everyday and I decided I will never ever quit!

My brother and our boss are definitely one of people I'm mostly grateful from the bottom of my heart to have them in my life. For all the lessons they thought me, all the courage, persistence and motivation. Writing this also because I haven't had the courage to tell it out loud and maybe now it might be a little easier to do so.
Writing this I remembered another director's quote "never ever feel sorry for yourself".

Grateful to be alive, focused, motivated and supported with such amazing people. I'm very grateful for all their support, shared knowledge, patience, friendly advice, teaching me many important life lessons & giving me many chances.

The person who changed my life?
It's me, the lion, young Simba. Rawr!

This year I took life in my own hands, started eating healthy, taking a lot more walks, trying to be better version of myself than I was yesterday. Started looking at the world on the positive side, taking care of myself and my surroundings, raised my values, standards and my goals. Sharing a lot more stuff, making other people happy, doing unexpected, getting rid of bad habits, addictions and strengthening friendly connections.

We can't change how things are happening around the world right now, we can't influence much about it. But we can change ourselve, how we look at things, get healthier, stronger and atleast try to make a world a little better place than it was yesterday. :)

Your profound sense of gratitude comes through in every line, @warrkin! Glad to see that you have made so many positive changes in your life, and are on the way to becoming the best version of you. It helps that you are surrounding yourself with positive people, full of positive energy - it's helping you raise your vibration.

Let us know how you are getting on!

Annabelle.

Learned that being humble and grateful can be upgraded, that it doesn't cost us anything, but it greatly benefits us mentaly and spiritualy. Yes surrounding vibrations we see, hear, touch and think affect us in great way.

Honored for the comment and the support, you two are amazing, Thank you!

You have a very long, and wonderful journey. one word for your success there and always smiling.

Being positive and smile are one of the most powerful emotions we have, they also bring more of these in the wolrd, no matter what current sitoations tell us. If you talk to yourself that "you're negative" our mind processes that and says "rogger that"
Thank you for taking time.

Thank you so much sir @warrkin

I question which actually has no answer to. Who actually changed our life? Yes, true that we have that one person who creates an opportunity for us, but, ultimately it is US ourselves who need to have FAITH in ourselves, to actually take the chance and risk. Liked your post. One line that I often use to motivate myself, you have used, and I feel that connects us; "A quitter never wins and a winner never quits." Trying is all I have GOT!

Indeed my current book writes about these kind of principles, main one is faith and to recognize, master our fears. Napoleon Hill was a great teacher, so lucky that there are books and some live lectures on youtube where we can still recieve some of his wisdom and books where we can read his mastermind work.

We are the heroes of our book. :)
Thank you very kindly for taking and the motivation, think all need it and amazing how it comes to connecting people.

RAWR! makes me happy to read this!

It's true, but I still have to get courage to tell them that, trying to express gratitude to them in tiny little packages. Thank you for the all support to you aswell bud. Those googlyeyes came in handy when my own vision was blured and lost - those got me to another peace of mind hwne finding them, Thank you!

You've a great brother.

He is a stunning and very strong figure in my life, even when we are at least 2000 kilometers apart. I love my bruderus. Thank you for your support!

That's awesome, the best way to change ourselves is indeed from within! Really great post here, we've all got challenges and things to overcome but one of the most important things that some may not understand is that the best way to change these things is within ourselves! One day at a time is a good mindset, do what we can and keep on doin!

We can't change other people or how they look at things, but we change ourselves and how we act on it. I got many more things to clear withing me, but writing a journal and having a chance to write things here on hive helps me out a ton.
Really grateful to be able to express myself in the community and to get this kind of motivational feedback in return. Thank you very kindly for taking time and commenting!
