Mrs Dele; it was one of the best days in my life, spending time at the beach for three days, thank you for this ( kisses his cheek)
Mr and Mrs Dele are a newly married couple. They just came from their honeymoon
Mr Dele; Now we home let’s arrange everything around.
They both started cleaning the house and arrangement of everything. Mr Dele has a friend called Bright. Bright has been single for a long time now and has never been bothered about it because he enjoyed a single life.

Bright and Mr Dele have been friends since their 200-level university days. And it has been 4 years since they graduated. Mr Dele Met Mrs Dele in his 400 level. They met through Bright. Mrs Dele (Ella) is a bright ex-girlfriend's best friend. Her name was Trisha. Trisha liked Bright but later discovered he did not have feelings for her and didn’t take their relationship seriously so she had to leave him.
Bright came to Mr Dele's home A week after they came back from their wedding Trip.
Bright; Dele My Guy !! ( Greets him with a handshake and hug)
Mr Dele; How have you been my guy?
Bright; Am good and you too ( with a teasing face)
Mr Dele; Why are you making up that face?
Bright; I am happy that my friend is a married man now and he is grown up. No more chasing after other women.
Mr Dele; Thank You, My friend, it remains for you to get married now
Bright; ( stares at Dele)
They both laugh, knowing full well that Bright wasn’t serious.
Mrs Dele made a good dish for Bright and he ate and felt at home, till it was evening and it was time for him to start going.
The couple escorted him out and he left.
Bright is a very Funny Man, Mrs Dele
Mr Dele; you know I should be the only one that should be funny to you babe ( in a teasing tone)
Mrs Dele; your sweet talks make me happy.
Mr Dele; am Very tired I need to sleep now
Mrs Dele; Before we sleep let’s try and wear all the Dish plates we used to cook and everything
Mr Dele; Why will you call me to come wash Plate, are you joking (looks with a frowning face)
Mrs Dele; Am I the only one to do everything, I cooked for you and your friend now it’s late and I called you to come wash the plate with me so I won’t be alone in the kitchen
Mr Dele; I can’t wash any plate ( Walks away)
Mrs Dele then washed the plate because she doesn’t like dish things in her house.
The Next Day Mr and Mrs Dele went to resume work on a Thursday. Mr. Dele works as a Supervisor in an Industrial company while Mrs Dele works as a marketer for a popular product.
Now it was getting late and Mr. Dele had already gotten him but Mrs Dele was still at work
Dials Mrs. Dele's number to call her
Mr Dele; (Ringing) Hello babe.
Mrs Dele; Hello Sweetheart how are you doing how was work
Mr Dele; work was fine, am home already are you still at work
Mrs Dele; yes, but I will be done in a few minutes
Mr Dele; that’s good to hear
Mrs Dele; Babe can you help me make some Dish so when I come we can eat
Mr Dele; you must be joking, you are asking me to enter the kitchen and cook ( gets angry and then starts ranting)
Mrs Dele; Can’t you just cook for me, is there anything bad in cooking ( she asked in a confused sad tone)
Mr Dele; you can’t be asking me to cook for you it is wrong, it is your duty as a wife to cook for me and clean the house, I can never cook for you
After Mrs Dele heard this statement she got pissed off
Mrs Dele; So you won’t cook for me or make any simple Dish for me, ok I have heard you
Mr Dele; Yes I won’t
Mrs Dele got home then she went to the Kitchen and started cooking, Mr Dele was already expecting to see his food soon but he wouldn’t because Mrs Dele entered the kitchen to cook for herself only.
Mr Dele; where is My Dish
Mrs Dele; what food are you talking about
Mr. Dele; Ahh (looks surprised) the one you entered the kitchen to cook.
Mrs Dele; Ohh, that was not for you but for me only
Mr Dele; why will you say or do that
Mrs Dele; Tell me why you can’t cook for us both
Mr Dele; Because the Wife must cook and not the Husband.
Mrs Dele; It is obvious you are not hungry

Mr. Dele believes that if a man cooks or washes the dishes in the house, then he is already acting like a slave to his wife at home, he had the thought from a young age that since my dad does not enter the kitchen then Real means don’t enter the kitchen, since my dad doesn’t wash plates then real mean don’t wash plate. Thought that made him act this way.
Mr Dele's Mom never complained to his dad about cooking and dishes, but he doesn’t understand that not all ladies can tolerate the act of a man who does not support his wife at home with cooking and home cleaning.
Mr Dele was already Provoked, then he had to call Bright to come see him the next morning which happened to be
Now it is Friday, Fridays are off days for Mr Deles's work but not Mrs. Deles's work. Mrs Dele had left home early, and some hours after she left Bright came over.
Mr Dele; Bright can you imagine, Ella is asking me to come wash plates and Make dish food for her.
Bright; Why can’t you, at least she’s your wife and you both working it’s not like she is always at home
Mr Dele; My Dad does not enter the Kitchen and my mom can never call me dad to come and make dishes.
Bright; you must accept the fact that Ella is not your mom but your wife, we all grew up in different homes, what if Ella's dad helps her mom make dishes
Mr Dele breaks into silence and is beginning to understand.
Bright; assisting her is not a big problem, Lower your Ego my friend, and make your marriage a happen one, don’t let this minor problem affect you both she is not your slave or your Maid, she is your Wife
Mr Dele; Hmmm, thanks for this advice I will think about it
Bright; That’s it, My friend understand this.
Mr Dele; Thank You, My friend
Bright; Trisha called me, and I told her if we could continue the relationship I was not going to act unserious to her again
Mr. Dele; Wow, That is good news (looks happy) Now we have a future wedding in plans, My friend is already getting serious.
Bright; (laughs) It is what it is my friend
They both gist and played games until Bright left.
Mr Dele tried to make one of the best dishes, which happens to be his wife’s favorite.
When Mrs Dele came back and saw the dish we arranged on the table with fruits and Her favorite drink
Mr. Dele; I Am sorry if I acted wrongly to you or if I tried to pressure you with homework or cooking, it was because I thought it was wrong for a man to be cooking for his but now I know it is not a bad thing but a good thing to always help my wife out when she is distressed or tired.
Mrs Dele; I was not angry with you before, I just wanted to teach you a lesson then but now you understand (moves toward the dish then starts eating)
Months later Bright proposed to Trisha and they started planning their weddings. From this day Mr Dele always assists his wife because he loves her and does not want any little problem to come between them.
