Hello dear friends, I hope you are feeling very well, I recently saw the Dragon Ball Super Broly movie, and I really liked this new adaptation that has become part of the canon, since they gave good development to the character with his story of origin. The previous Broly animated by TOEI was not bad, but I think he was a flat being who only thought about destroying and crushing, something like Hulk or Doomsday. Fortunately they corrected that and have introduced a good character. In this video I show step by step how I made this painting using the old Venezuelan bills as canvas, I hope you like it.
Hola queridos amigos, espero que se encuentren muy bien, recientemente vi la película de Dragon Ball Super Broly, y me gustó mucho esta nueva adaptación que ha pasado a ser parte del canon, ya que le dieron un buen desarrollo al personaje con su historia de origen. El anterior Broly animado por TOEI no estaba mal, pero pienso que era un ser plano que solo pensaba en destruir y aplastar, algo así como Hulk o Doomsday. Afortunadamente corrigieron eso y han introducido un buen personaje. En el presente video muestro paso a paso como hice esta pintura utilizando como lienzos los antiguos billetes de Venezuela, espero les guste.

For this painting I used two bills, which I joined together on the back, I painted the silhouette with white paint to make it easier to draw Broly's sketch. I made this sketch with an HB pencil so that it is easy to cover with paint, and it does not stain the white base that I made at the beginning.
Para esta pintura usé dos billetes, que uní por la parte del trasera, pinté la silueta con pintura blanca para dibujar más fácil el boceto de Broly. Este boceto lo hice con lápiz HB para que sea fácil luego de cubrir con la pintura,a demás de que no mancha la base de color blanco que hice al principio.

Next I start to paint the sketch, starting with the skin, as here Broly is making an explosion of energy, I will make parts of the body that reflect the shadow due to the effect of the light, as he is very muscular these shadows are seen in large quantities. So I paint first the part that would be darker while then I go with the lighter parts, I achieve this by mixing white with brown and orange, to give good volume tones.
-Seguidamente comienzo a pintar el boceto, comenzando por la piel, como aquí Broly está haciendo una explosión de energía, haré partes del cuerpo que reflejan la sombra por efecto de la luz, al ser muy musculoso estas sombras se ven en gran cantidad. Así que pinto primero la parte que sería más oscura mientras que luego voy con las partes más claras, esto lo logro mezclando blanco con café y naranja, para dar buenos tonos de volumen.

Then I start to paint his hair, unlike the rest of the Saiyan characters like Goku and Vegeta, when Broly transforms, his hair turns a somewhat green color with flashes of yellow. So I add green color mixed with white and yellow to achieve that tone, which I then reinforce with yellow color around the edges.
Después comienzo a pintar el cabello, al contrario del resto de personajes saiyayin como Gokú y Vegeta, Broly al transformarse su cabello se torna de un color algo verde con destellos de amarillo. Así que agrego color verde mezclado con blanco y amarillo para lograr ese tono, que después voy reforzando con color amarillo por los bordes.

To finish, I do what would be the outline of the entire contour, with black paint and a very fine brush. Around the figure I make a yellow cloud, from the explosion of energy, and this is how my painting of Broly is finished.
Para finalizar hago lo que sería el delineado de todo el contorno, con pintura negra y pincel muy fino. Alrededor de la figura hago una nube amarilla, de la explosión de energía, y así quedo finalizado mi pintura de Broly.
