Over the weekend we packed half the house and ventured three hours south-west to a lovely country town of Stanthorpe. Being new parents this was naturally a stressful venture! Luckily the gods smiled favourably upon us and our son slept maybe three quarter of the trip!
The first thing once we arrived and unpacked we had to sort out was where on earth we were going to parkrun the next Saturday morning, we had two options, Stanthorpe parkrun and a parkrun course which was a further half hour drive south into Tenterfield NSW. We chose Stanthorpe as it was logistically easier.
The course looped around Quart Pot Creek and was quite scenic and my pace with a pram I was very happy with considering I often had to go off-road due to paths being not wide enough.
After parkrun we stopped at Lily’s Cafe in Stanthorpe for some breakfast and coffee before heading out to do some touring.
My wife insisted we go to the Christmas farm even though it’s only April but I’m glad she pulled my arm because it was beautiful
We finished off the day with a group camp fire with great friends, food and spirits encompassed by beautiful scenery 
On Sunday morning I did a quick 11k jog to burn off the food and the booze before we left for home again!
