The Internet:Leveling the Playing Field for All

in The City of Neoxian23 days ago (edited)

During my recent visit to one of the big shops in town, I noticed many posters on a big billboard at Broad Street Mall. This is a vantage point in the mall where the majority of people pass by when visiting the washrooms. I stopped to go through a few of the posted flyers, and one thing is clear: it offers a platform for many advertisers to reach potential customers.

However, I began to question its effectiveness in terms of reach and targeting. I pondered over this: How often are these tools truly helpful for businesses and individuals who want to present their offerings to potential customers? Do they have a significant impact? While I'm sure they generate some interest, I wondered if people actually have enough time to read and go through all the information pasted.

Compared to the use of the internet, I would say this traditional way of advertisement isn't effective. Today on the internet, we are always bombarded with ads even if we don't want to see them. This is because most platforms are able to figure out where we spend our time online and they are able to tailor ads using their algorithms.

This makes online advertisement more powerful than traditional offline ads of all kinds. We all know the power of the internet and how it can effectively help in disseminating information to a large number of people. Today, social media platforms can greatly contribute to spreading and making information go viral.

So, imagine a bustling city street, where there is a young street performer who captivates passersby with the melody of their piano or violin. Their talent is undeniable, yet they remain hidden in the shadows. Only a few passersby hear them play and just admire the talent, but their talent, if not for social media, will remain hidden from the world at large.

When social media is around, talent knows no boundaries. It will be very hard for most talented young people to be found on the front of magazines or on the headlines of newspapers. On social media, they could easily go viral and have the chance to shine.

The world often celebrates only the most visible and renowned, but for anyone who has talent but is undiscovered, they can also be celebrated on social media. Social media has now paved the way for anyone; whether it's a gifted painter, a talented chef, or a skilled athlete, there is just a platform online for them to step into the spotlight.

In the age of social media and digital connectivity, there's newfound hope for those looking to break through barriers and share their talents with the world. I always appreciate how Hive, through several communities, makes room for everyone to show their talents.

Technology has made the process of talent discovery much easier. It offers a platform where individuals can showcase their creativity and connect with audiences on a global scale.

If you have a talent of any kind, it's a matter of stepping showcasing it on social media. I believe the world is waiting for the next big artist, pianist, singer, and who knows, you may just be the next sensation waiting to be discovered.

The potential to become a global phenomenon has been increased exponentially with social media. Sometimes, I marvel at the talents I come across on social media, people who have great gifts and living a simple life.

I do marvel as well anything I explore social media and come across great talents. imagine what we will be missing if not for social media.
