Shadow Photo/SMASh Contest-Round 321

Hello, everyone!

Welcome to my very first post in this #ShadowHunters community!

Today I want to share a small set of photos. On a recent foray to a region of my country, somewhat remote from my home... But not so remote (about 300 km), because Portugal is not a large country in its dimensions, I found myself trying to find a bit of myself, in the absence of what is as essential as light... shadow, or darkness.

By interposing myself between the sun and the cliffs, paths or even houses, I used the humble camera of my cell phone to capture this snapshot. It's interesting to know that shadows, whether in their size, shape or intensity, are the only fleeting or fleeting marks, which don't repeat themselves if they aren't caused by immovable objects, and we try to capture them in the same position, at the same time of day and under the same weather conditions.

Their uniqueness, since they are caused by the interposition of my body, or soma, makes this exercise of searching for the self or interior, outside and almost anonymous. Only I know that these six shadows were projections caused by me.

The day was beautiful, and in this place, Penhas Douradas, the dawn of the new day changed the size of the shadows, making them dance in a slow, poetic way...

The typical houses of the Penhas Douradas. Can you find my shadow?
The ice-painted floor from the cold morning added depth and drama to the final result

The huge boulders, called “poios”, give a fantastic canvas when the sun is low on the horizon, don't you agree?

Here with the hands closer to the torso, so it doesn't look so staged

One of the huts, apparently abandoned, but showing signs of being used...
You might even think I was a woman in skirts, judging by the shadow... ahaha

It's interesting how the 45º angle of the house wall didn't distort my shadow too much

I hope you've enjoyed the shades I've shared with you here!
