Feliz y saludable encuentro en la C/Literatos. Es apasionante cumplir a la convocatoria de la celebración del Día Mundial del Libro, Idioma y los Derechos de Autor en Ciudad Bolívar, capital del estado Bolívar. Mi alma se conmociona de satisfacción al poder asistir a este evento, porque es mi encuentro con una urbe que me trae remembranzas de mi vida juvenil. Además, esta planificación urbana que se desparraman sus calles como un tobogán. Estas calles son signadas por términos humanos, como: Carabobo, Constitución, Igualdad, Libertad, Dalla Costa, Piar, Roscio, Úrica, Anzoátegui, Zaraza, 19 de abril, Amor Patrio, Boyacá, Bolívar, Concordia y El Progreso. Esta semblanza de una ciudad que tiene arraigada en sus calles la memoria de cada momento con la que se edificó la arquitectura con los iconos simbólicos de la ciudadanía y de la conciencia nacional y suramericana, me estremece porque me transporta como joven cuando estudie bachillerato en los liceos Tomás de Heres y Fernando Peñalver.

La bienvenida y recepción de los asistentes la realiza la biblioteca Rómulo Gallegos, un antiguo edificio con grandes ventanales, varios amplios corredores, que son de dos plantas. La atención es esmerada al detalle del variado y exquisito almuerzo. La vista desde las ventanas de madera, que tienen un diseño inglés, es la influencia de la ciudad en su pasado histórico con la relación comercial con la Isla de Trinidad y Tobago. El río se va serpenteando hacia el este cabeceando, buscando la inmensidad de la sal marina. Son las doce del mediodía.
