Otra vez estoy yo por acá con esta saga que me ha dado tanto y que cada semana me emociona compartirles mis opiniones al respecto. Estamos hablando de la saga trono de cristal escrita por Sara J más, la misma autora de mi tan querida saga ACOTAR. La semana pasada estuvimos hablando sobre el primer libro que tiene como nombre Trono de Cristal, ahora y en adelante voy a hacer bastante rápida a la hora de comenzar la reseña del libro porque siempre termino escribiendo miles de palabras jaja, asà que vamos a comenzar con esta reseña de Corona de Medianoche. Recordemos que en la reseña anterior quedamos con Celeana Sardothien ganando el torneo y siendo nombrada como la campeona del rey o básicamente su asesina personal. Básicamente, al principio del libro la vemos a ella cumpliendo su rol, asesinando a las personas que el rey le indica, llevando como siempre una prueba de dicho acto. Vemos a Chaol un poco alejado y también a Dorian, este último precisamente por cómo terminaron las cosas entre ellos.
Here I am again with this saga that has given me so much and that every week I am excited to share with you my opinions about it. We are talking about the Throne of Glass saga written by Sara J plus, the same author of my beloved ACOTAR saga. Last week we were talking about the first book that has as name Throne of Glass, now and from now on I'm going to be pretty fast when it comes to start the book review because I always end up writing thousands of words haha, so let's start with this review of Crown of Midnight. Recall that in the previous review we left off with Celeana Sardothien winning the tournament and being named as the king's champion or basically his personal assassin. Basically, at the beginning of the book we see her fulfilling her role, assassinating the people the king directs her to, carrying as always proof of said act. We see Chaol a bit removed and also Dorian, the latter precisely because of how things ended between them.
Otra cosa que también podemos observar en este libro es la decisión de Celeana entre Dorian y Chaol. Y si a mà me preguntan mi opinión más personal, les tendrÃa que decir que yo siempre preferà 1000 veces más Dorian Havillard, mi prÃncipe hermoso. Pero creo que, para Celeana su relación con Chaol fue un punto clave en su desarrollo de personajes. Otra cosa que sucede es que Celeana realmente no estaba asesinando a nadie, por las palabras que tuvo con su amiga Nehemia sobre hacer de este un mundo mejor y hacer la diferencia. Resulta que en una de las escenas del libro ella debe encontrarse con un cortesano llamado Archer Finn, para asesinarlo por órdenes del Rey. Ella piensa que hacer, ya que lo conoce de años, asà que consigue tiempo para poder asesinarlo. Pero para hacer el cuento corto resulta que fue un traidor y nos engañó a todos, porque a mà también me engañó, yo creÃa que él era inocente. Posteriormente a ello sucede algo que la marcara por siempre, la muerte de Nehemia. Cosa que hizo que Celeana terminara con Chaol, ya que ella lo culpaba pensando que el sabÃa todo, por ocultarle algunas cosas.
Another thing we can also observe in this book is Celeana's decision between Dorian and Chaol. And if you ask me my personal opinion, I would have to tell you that I always preferred 1000 times more Dorian Havillard, my beautiful prince. But I think, for Celeana her relationship with Chaol was a key point in her character development. Another thing that happens is that Celeana really wasn't murdering anyone, because of the words she had with her friend Nehemia about making this a better world and making a difference. It turns out that in one of the scenes in the book she must meet a courtier named Archer Finn, to assassinate him on the King's orders. She figures out what to do, since she has known him for years, so she buys time to be able to assassinate him. But to make a long story short it turns out that he was a traitor and fooled us all, because he fooled me too, I thought he was innocent. After that something happened that would mark her forever, Nehemia's death. Something that made Celeana finish with Chaol, since she blamed him thinking that he knew everything, for hiding some things from her.
Hay personas que dicen que los primeros libros de Trono de Cristal tienen un desarrollo bastante lento, yo considero que el primero no tanto el segundo si un poco más. Porque vemos a Celeana tardarse mucho en su decisión entre Dorian y Chaol, también la vemos dudar con respecto a asesinar a Archer Finn, obviamente eso fue al principio cuando ella pensaba que él no tenÃa nada que ver con lo que estaba pasando de los rebeldes (cosa por la cual lo acusaba el Rey), pero cuando se reveló que él fue el causante de la muerte de Nehemia evidentemente sus intenciones cambian. Pero algo que a mà me encantó muchÃsimo, fue descubrir que Dorian posee un tipo de magia y se le estaba escapando un poco de las manos, ya que cuando se descontrolaban sus emociones la magia se expulsaba y Dorian tenÃa que estar muy contenido, aunque se abrió a Celeana y entre ellos se apoyaron un poco. Otra escena de qué me gustó mucho fue cuando Celeana intentó abrir un portal con las marcas Wryd para poder comunicarse con su mejor amiga muerta y los terminó atacando un demonio, ella tuvo que luchar lo mejor que pudo y cuando entró el mundo de donde el demonio habÃa salido se transforma en un Hada. Lanza sus poderes y pelea con lo mejor que tiene, pero al volver al mundo real, la transformación se detiene, ya que como les mencioné en la reseña anterior, está prohibida la magia en el reino de Adarlan.
There are people who say that the first books of Throne of Glass have a rather slow development, I consider that the first one not so much the second one if a little more. Because we see Celeana taking a long time in her decision between Dorian and Chaol, we also see her hesitating about killing Archer Finn, obviously that was at the beginning when she thought he had nothing to do with what was happening with the rebels (which the King was accusing him for), but when it was revealed that he was the cause of Nehemia's death evidently her intentions change. But something that I really, really loved was discovering that Dorian possesses a type of magic and it was getting a little out of hand, as when his emotions got out of control the magic was expelled and Dorian had to be very restrained, although he opened up to Celeana and between them they supported each other a bit. Another scene of what I really liked was when Celeana tried to open a portal with the Wryd marks to be able to communicate with her dead best friend and ended up being attacked by a demon, she had to fight the best she could and when she entered the world where the demon had come from she transforms into a Fairy. She throws her powers and fights with the best she has, but when she returns to the real world, the transformation stops, because as I mentioned in the previous review, magic is forbidden in the kingdom of Adarlan.
Es ahà donde Celeana les dice que sus antepasados venÃan de las hadas, que ella heredó un poco y que eso desapareció cuando, hace 10 años, se prohibió la magia. Ellos se apoyan, aunque Celeana aún estaba un poco recelosa con respecto a la muerte de Nehemia y en ese capÃtulo es donde ella cobra venganza por ello contra Archer Finn, Chaol observar como ella corrió tras Archer con una fuerza descomunal y se "transformó" en su versión más temible la verdadera asesina de Adarlan. Chaol se puso muy cauteloso luego de esto, ya que la vio en esa faceta y también para "protegerla" decide enviarla lejos. Exactamente, hacia otro continente llamado Wendlyn, poniéndole una misión un poco falsa sobre asesinar a la familia real, los Ashryver, y básicamente lo tiene que hacer inmediatamente. Dorian no está contento con Chaol por este plan, ni ella misma lo está, pero no le queda de otra, le promete a Dorian que volverá por él y de inmediato se va, pero no sin antes dejar un secreto al aire, susurrándole a Chaol una fecha, el cual se vuelve un poco loco investigando.
It is there that Celeana tells them that her ancestors came from the fairies, that she inherited some of it and that disappeared when, 10 years ago, magic was banned. They support each other, although Celeana was still a bit wary about Nehemia's death and in that chapter is where she takes revenge for it against Archer Finn, Chaol watching as she ran after Archer with a mammoth strength and "transformed" into her more fearsome version the real killer of Adarlan. Chaol became very cautious after this, since he saw her in that facet and also to "protect" her he decides to send her away. Exactly, to another continent called Wendlyn, putting her on a bit of a fake mission about assassinating the royal family, the Ashryvers, and basically she has to do it immediately. Dorian is not happy with Chaol for this plan, nor is she herself, but she has no choice, she promises Dorian she will come back for him and immediately leaves, but not before leaving a secret in the air, whispering a date to Chaol, which he goes a little crazy investigating.
La gran verdad de esta serie que es que Celeana es en realidad Aelin Ashryver Galathynius la princesa perdida de Terrasen. Algo que no les expliqué al principio y acabo de recordarlo es que Aelin/Celeana le tenÃa tanto miedo al rey de Adarlan porque él asesinó a la familia real de Terrasen. Y pues resulta que Aelin realmente es la princesa perdida, la que todo el mundo cree que falleció hace 10 años en el ataque, aunque hay personas que actúan bajo su nombre diciendo que ella ha vuelto para poder armar la revuelta. Para mà esto fue un medio shock, pero honestamente yo me lo esperaba solo un poco, porque ella nunca hablaba de su infancia y siempre recordaba, pues decÃa que de ahà ella venÃa y evidentemente para todos era lógico de qué que ella sintiera temor por el rey, ya que él orquestó la masacre de ese reino. Y creo que aquà aprendemos que ella siempre va a tener secretos, siempre va a tener un bajo la manga y siempre nos va a sorprender en toda esta saga. No sé si Corona de medianoche es un favorito de toda la saga porque como les dije es un poco lento y corto, pero honestamente es increÃble como todos. Ya quiero contarles mis opiniones sobre el siguiente libro, nos leemos pronto!
The great truth of this series is that Celeana is actually Aelin Ashryver Galathynius the lost princess of Terrasen. Something I didn't explain at the beginning and I just remembered is that Aelin/Celeana was so afraid of the king of Adarlan because he murdered the royal family of Terrasen. And well it turns out that Aelin really is the lost princess, the one that everyone believes died 10 years ago in the attack, although there are people acting under her name saying that she has returned so they can stage the revolt. For me this was a bit of a shock, but honestly I expected it just a little bit, because she never talked about her childhood and always remembered, because she said that's where she came from and evidently for everyone it was logical why she would feel fear for the king, since he orchestrated the massacre of that kingdom. And I think here we learn that she's always going to have secrets, she's always going to have something up her sleeve and she's always going to surprise us in this whole saga. I don't know if Midnight Crown is a favorite of the whole saga because as I told you it's a little slow and short, but honestly it's amazing as all of them. I already want to tell you my opinions about the next book so let's read it soon!
