Let's prepare applesauce free of guilt

Greetings,

Dear friends I finally had time to cook something at home for my children this weekend, I had many months without innovating in the kitchen, everything was full of routine.

On Saturday I stayed home with 3 of my children (the youngest) always think about eating and have not finished lunch and are already thinking about the snack.

I usually do my shopping on the weekends so on Saturday it's all about what's fresh in the fridge.

When I checked I saw that there was one green apple left and it had Cornstarch in it so I thought of making an applesauce.

For ingredients only need:

  • 1 Green Apple.
  • 2 Tablespoons of cornstarch.
  • 2 tablespoons of monkfruit.
  • 250ml of water.

The process:

First of all I took the opportunity to use a juice extractor I bought a month ago to prepare cabbage juice for my autistic son, which I read is very good.

With the extractor I processed the apple to get the juice, I was surprised that only one apple gave 100ml of juice.

Once the juice is extracted, add the water, sweetener and two tablespoons of cornstarch, beat to incorporate all ingredients and then place in a pot and bring to medium heat.

While we have the pot on the fire do not stop moving with a spoon so that the cornstarch does not become lumpy, stir constantly until the liquid begins to become transparent and thick.

When it has the consistency we are looking for we turn off the fire and place in several containers to take to the refrigerator for a while to cool and finish compacting.

In my case, because I like it, I added lemon zest to make it more presentable on the plate.

Ready friends, you can now share this delicious compote, a very healthy and satiating snack.

Mine was so compact that I could unmold it and serve it on a plate for presentation.

Since I removed gluten from my son his behavior change is remarkable, whenever I can I change the menu for them to enjoy a good dessert without consequences, this compote also gave me many ideas that soon I will test and share with you.

This recipe is very easy to make and takes no more than ten minutes to prepare, so don't limit yourself and don't be afraid to prepare it.

I do not say goodbye without thanking the community for this great space to share healthy food and for their great support to those who make life in it.

Thank you for joining me in this recipe I hope you like it and God bless you graciously.
ndemente.

Saludos,
