WHERE HAVE I BEEN THE LAST 4 MONTHS?

I've had a very, very busy summer schedule with my day job, family fun, and photography work. I've traveled to several jobsite visits for work, put at least 15,000 miles on my car driving all over the state of Utah and even to California for photo shoots. I've taken at least 30,000 photos this summer and I don't even know many hours of video.
Needless to say I've not had much time for long form posts like I enjoy to do here on PeakD/Hive, and barely any time posting on short form social media platforms.

I figured I'd share some photos from a trip to California where I photographed a group of 7 aerialists, but I got up early for sunrise one of the days I was there.

After sunrise and some breakfast my wife and I headed up to Whitney Portal for most of the day to escape the blistering heat. The temperature got up to 106ºF that afternoon. It was about 84ºF up at the Portal, but felt much cooler than that.

We did check in to a hotel that afternoon where we cooled of in the pool and got ready for the photo shoot.

The photo shoot went for 6 hours and I took around 4500 photos between the 7 dancers. I'm still working on editing the photos to this day.

Hi Casey, great to see a post. Beautiful. We spent part of my childhood in Bishop, California. Love those Sierra Nevada Mountains!

Sounds like a busy summer indeed and lots of miles you covered…
Looking forward to some adventures and your new captures.
Have a wonderful Thursday 👋🏻😊

That’s some beautiful country for sure. I am moving across from Oregon to Alabama in a couple of weeks so will be going through some beautiful spots along the way, I am excited!

For the record, these Alabama Hills are actually in California. But you will be crossing some beautiful country. Also, side note, I've been visiting Alabama, the state, several times this summer. I'm an architect and I've got a project being built there. My last visit was just last week. Alabama is very green, just like Oregon (well most of Oregon) but the heat and humidity is something else. Also, watch out for ticks!

Yeah I will be crossing though some of Idaho, Utah, and Wyoming on my route. I have been through California before on other trips and it's nice.

Oh man, the bugs, snakes, and swamp ass are the main things I am not looking forward to, lol. I am from Birmingham originally and know full well what I have coming, lol.

If you make it through Alabama anytime after October 9, let me know and we'll meet up!

You must have had amazing time outdoor looking at these few images - great landscapes, summertime vibes, car tripping... what else is better then that!
Looking forward for more shots from You :).
