In our daily lives we can access different distractions in which we can enjoy different temporary reliefs, yet in God we have complete happiness and healing available.
For thus says the Lord: Behold, I spread peace upon her like a river, and the glory of the nations like an overflowing torrent; and you will suck, and you will be carried in the arms, and on the knees you will be pampered. 13 Like him whom his mother comforts, so will I comfort you, and you will be comforted in Jerusalem.
Isaiah 66.12-13
In times of affliction or trouble we usually turn immediately to God as a last resort and unfortunately in some cases this is practically a habit. There are many things that are like false promises that can make us feel better temporarily, such as a good meal, a getaway with friends, work, technology, among many other things. But even if we take great delight in it, in the end our emptiness is not filled and we end up exhausted with the same problem.
It is important that instead of looking for different distractions when we are feeling pain or anguish, we mainly look for God, we must understand what our need is and he knows them perfectly, God offers us the solution to the emptiness that we may be feeling in what deepest of our being, the entertainments of this world are for that.
Let us remind the children of Israel that even while waiting for the fulfillment of the promise in the midst of pain, God does not fail and is faithful to fulfill what he has promised. After many years of suffering and pain, Israel becomes a nation and while the people have gone through different painful circumstances, God has never abandoned them. Throughout this period, Israel has experienced God's love and rescue at all times.
That rescue and those promises given to Israel and the fulfillment of them are also for us, today God's promises are intact for us too, today we have an invitation to turn to God in any difficult circumstance having full certainty and We are sure that God will comfort us, meet all our needs and most importantly: fill any void that nothing and no one can fill, God has begun the work in us and through his faithfulness he will finish it.
6 being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it out to completion until the day of Jesus Christ;

En nuestra vida cotidiana podemos acceder a diferentes distracciones en las que podemos disfrutar de diferentes alivios temporales, aún así en Dios tenemos disponible felicidad y sanidad plena.
Porque así dice Jehová: He aquí que yo extiendo sobre ella paz como un río, y la gloria de las naciones como torrente que se desborda; y mamaréis, y en los brazos seréis traídos, y sobre las rodillas seréis mimados. 13 Como aquel a quien consuela su madre, así os consolaré yo a vosotros, y en Jerusalén tomaréis consuelo.

En tiempos de aflicción o de problemas solemos recurrir inmediatamente a Dios como último recurso y lamentablemente esto en algunos casos es prácticamente un hábito. Hay muchas cosas que son como falsas promesas que nos pueden hacer sentir mejor de manera temporal como una buena comida, una escapada con amigos, el trabajo, la tecnología entre muchas otras cosas. Pero aún si nos deleitamos muchísimo en ello al final no es lleno nuestro vacío y terminamos agotados con el mismo problema.
Es importante que en lugar de buscar diferentes distracciones cuando estamos sintiendo dolor o angustia busquemos principalmente a Dios, debemos entender cuál es nuestra necesidad y el las conoce perfectamente, dios nos ofrece la solución al vacío que podamos estar sintiendo en lo más profundo de nuestro ser, los entretenimientos de este mundo son para eso.
Recordemos a los hijos de Israel que aún estando esperando el cumplimiento de la promesa en medio del dolor Dios no falla y es fiel para cumplir lo que ha prometido. Después de muchos años de sufrimiento y dolor Israel se convierte en una nación y mientras el pueblo ha atravesado diferentes circunstancias dolorosas Dios jamás le ha abandonado, Israel en todo este periodo ha experimentado el amor y el rescate de Dios en todo momento.
Ese rescate y esas promesas dadas a Israel y el cumplimiento de ellas también son para nosotros, hoy las promesas de Dios están intactas para nosotros también, hoy tenemos una invitación para acudir a Dios en cualquier circunstancia difícil teniendo plena certeza y seguridad qué Dios nos confortará, suplirá todas nuestras necesidades y lo más importante: llenará cualquier vacío que nada ni nadie puede llenar, dios ha comenzado la obra en nosotros y por su fidelidad la terminara.
6 estando persuadido de esto, que el que comenzó en vosotros la buena obra, la perfeccionará hasta el día de Jesucristo;
