The reason why I had to bring this movie Up here is because it's speak of everything Bro Eli just spoke about in his teaching about organ donations, this is a Christian movie and I fully recommend it to everyone, there's a point were Bro Eli said if you give your heart, kidney or an eye to someone else, and that person get to live for the next ten to twenty years after... That's you still living, your heart or kidney or any organ you donated as lived extra more years than you and it's you living in another body, because that person would have been long gone if you didn't intervene
That's the whole point of the movie, the old man there had so much wealth but no FAMILy or friends so he lived a solitary life till a young boy looking for a job stopped by his house to enquire if he could be his cook, cleaner more like a house manager, to take care of everything, reluctant but later accepted, this boy became the best part of him unraveling some of his old life he had done away with since he lost his family, the young man is asmathic so one day he was at the verge of death if a heart transplant was not done, when the old man get to find out, it was a though decision but he opted to donate his heart to the boy, few days to the incident while he thought he was going to die with out any family or anybody to inherit all his wealth he found out that the boy was his long lost son, so he was willing to donate his heart to him, afterwards he passed but the boy got to live on carrying his legacy wealth and expanding the gospel even further in a community were church services was band by the local chief even the old man himself due to tragic event of which he lost his wife and child.
it's a must watch if you really must understand the depth of Bro Eli's teaching on these week topical review, what it really means to part away with part of you to another... Personally I see it has the height of love, which is what our LORD JESUS CHRIST Did on the cross, the Bible said He first loved us even when we were sinners Christ choose to die for us, here Jesus did not just gave out some organ but he gave up everything for the sake of redeeming humanity back to God so the the true essence of God's purpose for creating human will be established, recreating the link that was broken ao that man will now live-on the God life forever.
Even more we ought to do same to one another, you have two kidney and of course you can live on one and you have a brother, a sister, husband wife, children or a child at a critical point who needs one of yours won't you give that out, extending the love beyond words.
It is a movie that teaches a lot about sacrifice, true. No a lot of people in the world knows how it feels to live in solitude or without family, some people experience it, just like I'm currently doing and to be sacrificial in that state Howbeit, to his unknown son, is a revelation
