RE: The Necessary Last Minute Back-Up Plans Before Traveling To Madrid

in TravelFeedlast month

I find travelling by public transport exhausting

The worst is during any sort of rush hour on a hot day. That constant chaos of people pushing and shoving, the lack of space on a metro or bus as everyone's sweaty and crammed together with no air to breathe. A truly horrible experience.

Sort:

I totally agree! The weirdest thing was entering the metro station from the airport, we were dressed with t shirts and a vest (we live in southern Spain at the coast) and we were shivering from the cold there.. So I was like oh damn, I only have this one vest with me.. lol..

Then every other metro station was so hot even with my t shirt.. and then when we got out of the station, up in the streets, it was cold again, except on a few squares where it was filled with sun. Such a weird experience and I was not prepared for that.

Btw the lack of oxygen is probably what bothers me most, I also remember this from the Budapest public transport in the years when we had no car.. even worse when masks were added during the pandemic. I had a hard time travelling back then. BUT the good thing is, the passport renewal is done, so hopefully in a few months, the little one is all set again for another 5 years.

Have a great weekend!
