Rides in Red Dead Redemption 2.

Hi, I'm back with another contribution to Gaming Photography community and this time I'm going to join Gaming Photography Weekly Contest - Theme: Rides of Video Games. showing and talking about Rides in RDR 2.

RDR 2 different kinds of rides that I can use to get from one place to another. Horse is the most used rides for land route when I can ride on or drive trains as well and there are different kinds of boats for water route. I'm going to show the rides that peoples had in 1899 in the United States.

I'm not going to show any stored photos this time and I didn't play or capture the photos yet when I'm writing this but I've opened the game and now I'm going to play live and capture what I found and show them here.

Horse

I'd just say horse is my main means of travel somewhere in this game. I can lead them, I can feed them, I can talk to them, I can shout at them, I can call them and I can ask them to follow me.

I can make the horses jump when I ride them. In this capture, it looks like the horse was flying. No, its not a unicorn, it just jumped on my command and I tried the photo mode to capture this photo.

I can make my horse gallop like this which looks so cool. I need to have special bonding with the horses to do this, I can't just take any horse and do this as I wish to.

I can make them swim taking me though I didn't try this feature much but I'm trying it now for the sake of this contest. Truth is, the horses swims far better than Arthur.

When the horse loses all of its stamina while swimming, it makes me jump into the water and then it swims back to the land like it was doing at that moment.

This is also horse related but different than regular horse ride. I just hijacked this carriage to showcase and I had to make the horses run faster for sometimes as the law started looking for me as I hijacked this one.

I can hand in there by the side of such carriages but it works like this when I ask someone to give me a ride when I lost my horse or it's not with me though its upto the driver whether they gives me a ride or not.

Boat

After horse, we got boats as a mean to ride on water route. There are different kinds of boats in all around the map but these thin boats are what I got now.

Look when I was rowing the boat, my horses tried following me and they did that for sometimes and then returned to the land and I noticed that snake swimming around me.

I found this man rowing another boat and I reached him to greet him. Then I wished to make fun of him and he started shooting me so I had to shot him down.

My target was to reach that big boat or we can call it a small ship.

It looked good but I didn't see any peoples on this ship. I tried following it for sometimes but I didn't see any way that I could use to get up on it.

Then I noticed this boat and I went for it. I had the option to get up on it but I didn't have an option to ride it.

I jumped out of it and Arthur drowned after trying to swim for sometime. He's terrible at swimming. Then I bought a train ticket and went to Saint Denis to try riding more boats.

I was riding a normal boat till now and was enjoying the ambient scenes.

Then I noticed this boat with engine and I wished to try it but the driver didn't stop for me so I had to shot him down and ride this one.

Then I noticed these cargo boats and I hijacked this one after shooting down the driver and I rode it for sometimes there.

Train

The third and last way of transport in RDR 2 is train. I was at Rodes Rail Station and I bought a ticket from there to Saint Denis.

I became a passenger of the train and reached Saint Denis a lot faster that I could riding my horse and the good thing is that I found both my horses there after I got off from the train.

Now I was following the train to out of city to hijack and try riding it but for that, I had to fight the law.

Then I tried riding the train where I had the option to going forward or backward and I could make the train whistle and I could ring bell as well. I became a train pilot for a moment there.

Here I'm finishing the post for today and I'll come talk about more special RDR 2 gaming moments in Gaming Photography.

hahahaha I think it's because of the perspective in which I take the picture... sometimes it happens in real life, now imagine in a video game. I see that you are very observant, that's important in the community, I was reading the post and I didn't even notice xd!

And I see all legs, lol. It can deceive the viewers but not the photographer.

wow it's true all this time they were there!

I see all four legs of each horse 😀

Amazing captures my friend, I loved the parts of the carousel, those horses look like they have incredible strength, thanks for participating.

You're very welcome. I'm glad you enjoyed the captures, especially the scenes featuring the carousel.

I personally love the classic means of transportation (horses) in this video game, because I think it is very realistic aspects with these majestic creatures that serve as transport. Good luck greetings!

Greetings.

Horses are such an integral part of the Red Dead Redemption 2 experience. Riding through the vast landscapes of the Wild West seems majestic and adds to the immersion and realism of the game. The attention to detail in the horse mechanics, makes the relationship between Arthur and his horse feel authentic and meaningful.
