The year is 2024 and Scrooger has decided that he is working way too much... So he is taking some time for himself now and then. How? Well, he used to love games when he was growing up. A simple way to escape reality for a few mere moments. Thus, he will be posting about his little adventures from time to time. The game in question is Red Dead Redemption 2.
I didn't have too much time the 2nd time around and only tried to find my bearings in my camp, get some food and then head to town to see what the newest mission is about. It was simple, yet interesting.
As you can see my camp is really small, but I think it is all we need to survive and get things going. The mission in question was about 3 girls who were bored and looking to catch a ride to town to, uhm... do some business.
We hopped on our wagon and off we went!
Along the way we encountered another feller who needed some help getting his horse back, being the good samaritan that I am, I helped him out to get his pretty horse back. I named her Betty, we had an instant connection as well. Very pretty horse.
We can finally see the town off in the distance! Not super big, but will have loads of opportunities for us.
Nothing special here, only mud, beautiful detailed mud.
We parked and went our merry ways. The girls went theirs and I went shopping for some supplies.
I wasn't expecting Costco, but what I got had more than enough for my liking. Ammo, food, candy, coffee, etc. The basics for survival in these parts.
That is when we got out and I could hear trouble brewing. Someone was trying to take advantage of my lady friends. I knew they were up to no good... I handled it swiftly by scaring the one guy off.
The 2nd one was a little friskier and hit our lady friend. I didn't stand for it and knocked him out cold.
She did find some info about the bank that might be a lucrative opportunity. I will see where it leads us in the future. I felt like we already disturbed the peace and it was time to head home since we already had our supplies. Just then a bandit appeared that recognized us and was threatening us. He took off before we could talk and I knew he only meant trouble. I chased after him and took care of him. He won't be telling any tales about us to anyone. I have to protect our little community, even though I do not know much about them yet...
I need to remember to take more pictures during the fun and exciting parts, but since I am in concentration mode I keep forgetting. I will try again the next time I play.

Haha, thanks, but sadly no party with to toddler and baby. We spend all of our nights at home. We have fund with the kids during the day though.
Hope you are doing good at home and having some amazing braai and family time. Darn I miss a braai, and a good potjie, and biltong! Hehehe, too many things I miss!
What all ex-pats say once they leave is the simple lifestyle we have here.
With children in the home they come first, very young need their sleep you fall into line with their needs and wants.

Yeah, the graphics in this game is insane, can't believe it is already a few years old.
It's nice to see another gamer want to share his journey of RDR 2 with us. The screenshots looks great and I can sense you had fun writing about this little journey taking along your lady friends in the game where you helped someone getting his horse back and fighting for the lady friends were bold moves for sure.

Hi @scrooger, nice to see another rdr 2 gameplay. I believe by the end of game we will end up creating awesome image gallery for rdr 2. My 2 cent suggestion, is to enjoy every part of rdr 2, the more slower play, the best realism. I look forward to see you more blogs.
Thanks for the pleasant welcome. I must agree, slower is better, this is really not a fast-paced game. I got sidetracked and played poker for almost 20minutes. Hahaha
Yeah that poker! I don't know how to play poker and looting traing for big bucks is really hard too, I used to take my laptop in the office, so my colleague who know poker used to play it for an hour and make me enough bucks to buy or upgrade arms.
Hahaha, gotta love that. I am still very new to the game so no idea how important money really is yet. Will have to wait and see.
