La semana pasada se celebró el día de la familia, y en el colegio de mi hijo prepararon varias actividades para conmemorar esta fecha tan especial.
En uno de esos días nos invitaron a los padres y representantes a asistir a una actividad especial para toda la familia.
No nos especificaron que íbamos a hacer, pero si nos pidieron que pintáramos la franela de nuestro hijo con nuestras manos para hacer un diseño bonito que pudieran lucir ese día.

Last week was Family Day, and at my son's school they prepared several activities to commemorate this special date.
On one of those days they invited us parents and representatives to attend a special activity for the whole family.
They didn't specify what we were going to do, but they did ask us to paint our son's flannel with our hands to make a nice design that they could wear that day.
Nosotros la pintamos la noche anterior y decidimos colocar además de nuestras manos, las patitas de nuestras 4 mascotas, que también son parte importante de la familia.
Así que fueron las huellitas de los dos gatos, las dos perritas y la mano de mi esposo, mi hijo y la mía.
Quedó bien colorido y lindo el diseño. ♥
We painted it the night before and decided to put, in addition to our hands, the paws of our 4 pets, which are also an important part of the family.
So it was the paw prints of the two cats, the two dogs and the hand of my husband, my son and mine.
It turned out very colorful and cute design. ♥
Al llegar al colegio, aún no habían comenzado las actividades. Así que los niños aprovecharon de jugar, correr y divertirse en ese tiempo libre.
Mi hijo se puso a jugar con un amigo UNO, y ya luego se le fueron sumando otros niños al juego.
Hubo un momento bien chistoso en el que un niño pequeño se acercó a darle recomendaciones a mi hijo al oído, pero lo dijo tan fuerte que ya no fue un secreto 😂.
Yo mientras veía cosas en mi teléfono y les tomaba algunas fotos.
When they arrived at school, the activities had not yet started. So the children took advantage of the free time to play, run around and have fun.
My son started playing with a friend UNO, and then other children joined him in the game.
There was a funny moment when a little boy came up to give my son recommendations in his ear, but he said it so loudly that it was no longer a secret 😂.
I was watching things on my phone and taking some pictures of them.
Luego la maestra de mi hijo se me acercó y me dijo que me fuera a la cancha, pues estábamos por comenzar la actividad.
Habían muchos niños, pero pocos representantes.
Esto era un poco lamentable pues pude ver varios niños llorando porque sus padres no habían asistido.
Yo siempre trato de hacer hasta lo imposible para estar en todas estas actividades del colegio porque sé lo importante que es para mi hijo que esté ahí para él. ♥
Then my son's teacher approached me and told me to go to the court, as we were about to start the activity.
There were many children, but few representatives.
This was a bit unfortunate as I could see several children crying because their parents had not attended.
I always try to go out of my way to be at all these school activities because I know how important it is for my son that I am there for him. ♥
Por fin se le dio inicio a la actividad. El profesor de educación física fue el encargado en dar las palabras iniciales y luego a llamar a formación para cantar el himno.
Mi hijo se tuvo que ir junto a sus compañeros y yo quedé en las gradas.
Finally, the activity began. The physical education teacher was in charge of giving the opening words and then calling the formation to sing the anthem.
My son had to leave with his classmates and I stayed in the stands.
Llamaron a los niños y padres al centro de la cancha para hacer una pequeña bailoterapia. Yo tenía varias cosas encima y no pude hacerlo pero disfruté mucho ver a mi hijo brincando y riendo junto a todos y apoyé desde las gradas el baile jajaja.
They called the kids and parents to the center of the court to do a little dance therapy. I had several things going on and couldn't make it but I really enjoyed seeing my son jumping and laughing along with everyone and I supported the dance from the bleachers hahaha.
Luego vinieron las competencias. Se les hizo hacer una cadena humana a todos los niños de cada grado y compitieron por secciones.
Los primero fueron la sección de mi hijo y el otro sexto grado. En esta el salón de mi hijo fue el ganador. ♥
Así repitieron con todos los grados.
Then came the competitions. All the children in each grade were made to make a human chain and competed in sections.
First up was my son's section and the other sixth grade. In this one my son's classroom was the winner. ♥
This is how they repeated with all the grades.
Luego hicieron una competencia halando la cuerda. Igualmente con todos los grados y de último con los representantes.
Al terminar los niños gritaron de la emoción.
Then they did a rope-pulling competition. Likewise with all grades and finally with the representatives.
At the end the children screamed with excitement.
Finalmente luego de unas breves palabras por parte de la directora y un gran abrazo grupal se terminó la actividad.
Fue algo corta pero los niños se gozaron un montón el vivir una mañana diferente.
Mi hijo también se divirtió un mundo y yo fui feliz al verlo sonreír tanto y hablarme con mucha emoción de su colegio. ♥
Finally, after a few brief words from the director and a big group hug, the activity ended.
It was a little short but the children enjoyed a lot to live a different morning.
My son also had a great time and I was happy to see him smiling so much and talking to me with so much excitement about his school. ♥
