Este día yo había ido aún conuco a apagar Candela, había salido más o menos a las 5 de la tarde y a las 9pm teníamos el compromiso de esta actividad en la iglesia.

Se nos había complicado el tiempo más de lo que esperaba y terminé llegando como 20 minutos antes de salir. Fui corriendo a arreglarme y ni siquiera pude cenar. Camino a la iglesia le dije a mi tía a ver si podíamos pasar por un perro calentero para comprarme algo para comer ya que eran las 9 de la noche y aún no había comido nada.
Our timing had gotten more complicated than I expected and I ended up arriving about 20 minutes before I was supposed to leave. I ran to get ready and didn't even get to eat dinner. On the way to the church I told my aunt to see if we could stop by a hot dog to buy me something to eat since it was 9 pm and I still hadn't eaten anything.

I was dazzled because they lit the bonfire like with some kind of firework and then we started to do a march where we would go out the back of the church and come back in through the front.
Una vez habíamos llegado nos ubicamos en nuestro lugar para el comienzo de la misa de Sábado de Gloria. Leímos muchas escrituras que nos recordaban el sacrificio y la historia de Jesucristo en nuestra vida, especialmente cómo fue su vida hasta el momento en el que fue entregado y nos preparábamos para su resurrección.
Once we had arrived we took our places for the beginning of the Sabbath of Glory mass. We read many scriptures that reminded us of the sacrifice and story of Jesus Christ in our life, especially how his life was until the moment he was delivered and we were preparing for his resurrection.
Normalmente estas fechas y estas lecturas me ponen muy nostálgica y lloro como magdalena porque el pensar que el ser más maravilloso que ha pisado esta tierra padecía un gran dolor, que cometieron crímenes en contra de él que nunca nadie jamás vivió. Siempre me recuerdo que no debería ponerme triste, sino que más bien gracias al sacrificio que él hizo, hoy podemos gozar de su gracia y que no murió sino que resucitó y ahora vive por los siglos de los siglos y cuida de nosotros cada día.
Normally these dates and these readings make me very nostalgic and I cry like a madeleine because the thought that the most wonderful being that ever walked this earth suffered great pain, that they committed crimes against him that no one ever lived. I always remind myself that I should not be sad, but rather that thanks to the sacrifice he made, today we can enjoy his grace and that he did not die but rose from the dead and now lives forever and ever and takes care of us every day.
Hubo muchas lecturas referentes y muchos cantos para gloria de Dios, incluso una prima de mi novio cantó y lo hizo súper espectacular.
Transcurrió el tiempo y ni siquiera me di cuenta si era tarde, si ya había que dormir… No pensaba en nada de eso, trataba de disfrutar y de enfocarme , de vivir este sábado de gloria al máximo en Comunión con Dios en cada momento que podía hablar con él.
There were many readings and many songs for the glory of God, even a cousin of my boyfriend sang and she did it super spectacular.
Time went by and I didn't even notice if it was late, if I had to sleep... I didn't think about any of that, I tried to enjoy and focus, to live this Saturday of glory to the fullest in communion with God in every moment that I could talk to Him.

We went out the door to our homes to sleep and rest to come the next day on Easter Sunday.
