Tuesday: "Martesan"

Hello, my beloved hivers! For today's blog, I want to share with you some of my life events.

"Martesan"

is a place where you can buy vegetables, fish, fruits, etc. It is called "martesan" because the goods of the vendors are available every Tuesday. Martesan is located in Camingawan, Kabankalan City.

I woke up later than usual. I hurriedly get out of bed and check if Kaye and Nelly are already awake. I started doing my morning rituals, and Kaye is also fixing herself; on the other hand, Nelly is still sleeping. After awhile, Nelly is awake, and she fixes herself for a moment before we leave. The climate is a bit gloomy, but it's nice for walking.

While walking, I saw that the greenish trees before had turned brownish, like now. It's sad to wake up every morning to see that instead of green leaves, what I saw were the dried and dead trees around. The world seems to be tired and slowly dying. It's been awhile since the last rain came. It's scary that the temperature has risen and that it's getting hotter.

After a tiring walk, we finally arrived at our destination. We bought vegetables first and then looked for fresh fish on the other side. We saw a telescope snail called "bagungon" in our country. It cost 20 pesos. We also bought bread. And I forgot to buy rice so I return to the stall and look for the man who sell rice. And I forgot to buy rice so I return to the stall and look for the man who sell rice. This time, I really felt the poverty experienced by the whole country. The price of the goods keeps rising.

After we bought everything we needed, we rode a tricycle because we're already tired of walking.

Walking is a great way to start our day, but it's exhausting, so we decided to buy ice and lemon juice because it's hot.

It's important to take a rest after an exhausting activity. We ate the "bitsu-bitsu" together with the lemon juice. I know it's not healthy to drink cold water in the morning, but we really crave it.

Meet our miming cat in the boarding house; her name is Dappy, and she's very naughty. She has three kittens. And she always destroys our mood by eating our food in the kitchen.

We decided to cook the telescope snail because it's wet and it will be dead if not cooked immediately. Before cooking, I chopped the other half of the snail so the meat would come out when sucked out.
We were satisfied by the taste, and we ate deliciously until we were full.

Every Tuesday is a bountiful day for us because we have choices in our food. We were able to save our budget because the goods in the "martesan" are affordable for students like us who have a low budget for food.

"Realizations"

The world seems to be different and struggling because of human-made activities. Like the quote "Taste your own medicine," we are now tasting the consequences of our actions. I just hope and pray that God will heal the world. Let's all pray for it.

Thank you for reading my blog. I hope you grasp something. If you reach this part of my blog, please let me know your thoughts. I love you all.
