Hello to all Hivers, I'm back! How are you?. I was not able to blog these past few weeks due to our hectic project schedules, which needed to be submitted on time because we are graduating soon.

Today, I just want to share my experiences as I went to the fiesta.

A few weeks ago, we celebrated Fiesta in our Barrio. This event is held once a year as a part of our cultural life. We made a simple preparations for our celebration of Fiesta.

My aunt cooked some delicious foods for Fiesta, such as shrimps, fried chicken, sapin-sapin, spaghetti, fruit salad, puto kutsinta, and more.

We also had a karaoke, often known here as videoke, where you can sing along to recorded music using a microphone. You can select multiple songs that you want to sing. The lyrics are displayed on the screen, and all you have to do is follow along.

This videoke is very popular here in the Philippines even now. It is never absent from any occasion, such as birthday celebrations, Christmas parties, New Year, Fiesta, nights out with friends, and more. This enjoyable activity brings people together, creating wonderful and lasting memories. Here in our Barrio, every Fiesta always has a variety of events and activities that bring joy and happiness to everyone.

These activities involve singing and dancing contests, Zumba, games and sports competitions, and the most anticipated event of all, the crowning of Miss Barangay. It is a beauty pageant where all clusters in our barangay need one representative to represent their cluster. To show support for our candidate, I went to cheer her on.

When I arrived, I was so shocked and surprised because I saw a lot of people gathered there, showing their loving support. They even spent time attending events, even if their house was far away, just to watch and support their candidate. They brought drums and tarpaulins. Others brought their dinner so that their seats wouldn't be taken by someone else.

Due to the lack of seats, we couldn't help but stand the entire time until it was finished. I couldn't see clearly because people behind me were pushing and bumping into each other. My legs were already numb, and I couldn't move at all. But to watch and witness the event, I had to endure it a little longer.

As the candidates performed their production number, eco-fashion, and evening gowns, I couldn't help but feel confused about who would win. It was so hard to guess who would be the next Miss Barangay. All we could do was pray and hope that our candidate would be included in the top 3.

Everyone was excited to see who would be crowned as the next Miss Barangay. The host announced the winner, and people were making noise to show their loving support for their candidates.

When we found out that our candidate was not Miss Barangay, we were still happy because she won an award for the best evening gown.

After the coronation, we went to the street to buy some food like mango shakes and popcorn. This food never disappoints me, it always brings me satisfaction, especially the mango shake, with its sweetness and deliciousness that you never tired of.

As we went home, some people went home with smiles on their faces, while others were sad or disappointed. But that's what life is, some will win, and some will lose. We need to accept it.

Failure is an event, not a person. I realized that when you fail, it doesn't mean it's the end of the world. It just means you have to put in a little more effort than the last time. There is always room for improvement, and that is what makes life good and beautiful.
