Hive Engine is one dApp that is not known by so many Hivians. I didn't know these either until I met friends who explained and told me how it works. Hive Engine is a smart contract built on Hive where users can trade tokens. It's simple, it's like selling what you have in exchange for another thing
INITIATIVE
An initiative that is recurring is Hive Power Up Day and Leo Power Up Day. This is usually done on a monthly basis where users are encouraged to power up their Hive and Leo tokens. This is simply one way to increase one's influence.

Power up is simply a way of investment, it shows one wants a future for the platform . The more tokens are powered up by users the more it is difficult to temper with the block chain. Not just that, there are lots of benefits that come with powering up, it gives one influence on the platform.
Just like in Leo Power Up Day, participants in this initiative receive rewards for participation. The winners are rewarded for their efforts alongside other benefits.
GAME
Talking about games, we know many gaming communities on the Hive block chain. One of which is splinterland. For game lovers, splinterlands is a game where players collect and play cards with each other.
It's one game where if you don't know how to apply tactics, the digital monsters would win the battle. One thing about them is that there are lots of activities to keep the players active, giveaways and different challenges and levels. With these activities, players have reasons to keep playing and winning rewards.
NON-FUNGIBLE TOKENS
There are so many, the next is Non-fungible tokens (NFTs). Just like we see these in block chains, Hive block chain is not an exception, it's a decentralized place for buying, selling and trading tokens created by digital artists. That's very true. I had a friend who explained a little about NFT for me but wasn't available again to respond to my questions in time I needed his assistance which made me back off in learning more about it.
