Ever since , I pitched into the #blockchain world I always assume Hive as a content creation platform. However, as the times goes by and i spent more time, I understood the vastness of the blockchain world. If we only take example of #Hive ecosystem, it is more than just a content sharing platform it has allow many developers to utilize the platform to comes up with their own decentralized application (dapps). Many of those very sucfesful while many have fade away with the passage of time. It is very interesting to see that many Hive dapps are still running and active as they have been launched recently. #peakd #ecency #leofinance #splinterlandd are some of the best example that shows a heavy user traffic on daily basis. These dapps makes Hive an easily accessible platform for many user. Before we get deep dive on #Hive dapps , it is better to understand of the basic Hive ecosystem.

What is Hive?
Hive, commonly referred to as the “social blockchain” was designed to power the blockchain based blogging and social media platforms. The hive blockchain relies on a three native digital assets: Hive, Hive power (HP) and the Hive backed dollar (HBD stable coin). While we can purchase hive related assets on certain exchanges, we can also earn HIVE cryptocurrency by investing time and effort in a blockchain social media platform powered by HIVE. The more upvotes you receive, the more rewards you will generate and receive.
The amount of hive power we hold also plays an important role in the hive ecosystem, with more HP giving us a higher upvote reward payout. HP holders who vote less have more weight behind each vote, whereas those who vote more often have their vote weight split up proportionally. Upvote recipients earn rewards as an equal split of HBD and HP. The structure is designed to give content creators both an immediate monetary reward and a stake in the network itself. Users also have the option to receive 100% of their rewards in HP if they opt out with this payout method.

While anyone can easily get Hive from the social media platform. The Hive ecosystem is proving boon for many developers. It allows the developers to comes up with their creative development ideas. A decentralized app (dApp) is a program that runs on a blockchain, where users interact directly with each other instead of relying on a central authority. On Hive we have many popular dapps while many still look a good audience. May be users are finding the exiting one more user friendly. But still we have many dapps to try.
TravelFeed: It is a first of the travel blog dapps built on hive. It allows creators to monetize their travel content. However the #pinmapple communities faded it's popularity.
3Speak: A livestreaming and video platform prioritizing free speech. As many users are not into blogging, it is not getting much traffic as I can see.
VimmTV : Another video streaming platform where users can share their gaming experiences. Check out more here
dbuzz: It is micro blogging dapps on hive. It is built in line with "X", however the success of #threads made it fade away. Access the app here

I remember, in my initial days, it was #ecency mobile apps that allows me to stay active. Users often looks out for a reason of staying active on Hive. But I belive with so many dapps working and active, a user has ample way to stay active and earn rewards as much as they can.
