Starting the patio, by myself

My flagstones were delivered this morning. Once the guy left, I got busy with a couple of other things

and didn't actually get to doing anything with the stones.
This ain't gonna be easy my friends

First load, I won't be using that flat cart again

One reason it is taking me as long as this, is that I am looking for splits in the thick pieces, which I can use my tools to open up, making
A. thinner stones and
B. possible fossils

Not really sure, but I think these may be fossils

Whether fossil or not, they look neat.
Here is where I left off today, after just a couple of hours lifting, moving, lifting again and setting these stones down

Going forward, it will be a matter of setting them down, trying to get the most out of the puzzle, then each stone lifted to fill under or dig out from under as needed to get the best, most level surface that will shed the water in the direction I want.
Lots more work to come, news as it becomes available.

That's quite the project you have going. Well, one step at a time, and just keep plugging away at it, and it'll get done one of these days.

It IS quite daunting, but it is my intention to see it through, complicated by the grass getting cut, clothes getting washed, veggie garden tended and plants getting watered... living alone can be a real bummer

It a great work you have done sorry for the stress .

Thanks @marylove1 , I got a ways to go yet, I'm nowhere near done, but I'm not quitting yet.
It will be a masterpiece when I'm done (I hope)
