Health benefits of Mango and how to make the refreshing smoothie at home.

Health is wealth, taking care of our body should always be a priority not neglecting our well-being, one of the basic ways of taking care of the body is through the food we ingest in our body, I am someone who is always conscious of what I put in my body because I am always reacting to food prepared outside of my house, I love to prepare most of my meals, this has been my way of enjoying my meals and I derive much joy in doing this all the time. My motive is to make healthy meals and stay healthy if not 100% but at least 80%.

I got to know about this community through a friend on hive @sunshine29 she introduced me to this community and I am so happy to share my thoughts and ideas on some benefits of some fruit we could get in our environment.

We are in the season of fruits in my country, especially Mango, I decided to make something meaningful from it, I never liked eating mangoes from my childhood because of the tale or should I call it lies that I was told when growing up, I was told that someone should never drink water after eating mango or you can never take cassava flakes when eating this fruit, all these made me ignore and never develop an interest in eating Mango at all.

Some months back my brother bought Mangoes while coming home from work, I was feeling not interested but later took one out of it, it was so amazing then I decided to make a smoothie with it. I never knew have been missing on so many essential nutrients from mango, Mango is rich in vitamins, and minerals and it also serves as an antioxidant. All parts of Mango are edible and packed with health benefits.

The difference between juice and a smoothie is that a smoothie contains fiber while juice contains only the sweetness extracted from the fruit, I visited the market and got myself a juice blender, the advantage of this blender is that it is a rechargeable blender, I can use it any time of the day and also blend smoothly without any shaft but one disadvantage I see in this blender is that it is too portable, it takes more time to prepare than using the normal blender which used electricity.

INGREDIENTS USED
Mango
Sweetener (1 tablespoon of sugar)
Ice cubes

The first process is to wash the fruit thoroughly under running water, most people are fond of eating fruits without washing which is very bad and can cause harm to the body, I washed the Mango and separated the main mango from the seed, I diced it into cubes after separating it from the seed.

The next process was to blend the mango with my rechargeable blender, it took me some time to blend it all because the blender is a portable one, I blended the mango and added one tablespoon of sugar into it, this serves as my sweetener and also added ice cubes into it to get that thicky texture, although mango is thick on its own without adding ice cubes but as well I think it is something necessary.

Making a mango smoothie is never stressful, it is something we can do in the comfort of our house, it is so easy to make and it is much healthier than buying from other people who only package flavor and stale juice for us.

This is one of the healthier smoothies I developed an interest in now, instead of eating mango I now prefer the smoothie to the normal fruit, adding sweetener to your juice is optional, it is not necessary to add sugar but if you wish then you can add a little not too much because I used one tablespoon for all the Mango I used.

We should learn how to make all these fruit juices in our home for the benefit of our health and also for our family. My family enjoy this and they are asking for when I will make another one because it is so refreshing after putting in the refrigerator.

It sure is healthy. I don't joke with mangoes. But, this year I didn't take much because the ones I bought didn't ripe. Seems like they just boiled it. It tasted so bad.
