Spread the Vibes, Deep and Dark found the way to show itself!

Federico Albanese

A short introduction is needed before the real content of this post will be presented. It may seem unrelated to the topic, however, I feel it is connected with my day - today. Today, this windy day, that maybe I could spend in another way has a lot to do with this Spread the Vibes post. The strong wind kept me inside and apart from the usual Sunday kind of activities, ie doing almost nothing, I decided to practice a bit more the piano. I teach 6 days out of 7, all the time I see the black and white keys and you know what, I don't have time to practice the pieces I want to. Correction, the phrase I don't have time is wrong. I dont make time to myself, I dont provide that space and time to explore new compositions and work on them. So this windy Sunday came as perfect to make that space, to practice and get in shape one piece I was requested to play. After some time ( some hours :) ) I was aaaaaalmost there, to achieve the goal of recording it and fulfilling at least one more promise made in our blockchain. Well, the cheerful and fast composition finally came out well, but I deleted the recording. Accidentally. Instead of increasing the volume and saving it, I made it disappear. Forever. Well, one thing we can do in unpleasant situations we can not change: how to react to them. Instead of getting mad, I accepted it was not meant to publish it today. The cheerful, uplifting composition will not be online, so I opted for the opposite. Dark, and deep. Yes, something dark and deep was shared here three weeks ago and it is waiting for my response. A spread the vibes post that is open to my reaction, bringing more deep and dark, and hopefully goosebumps too, through this post. Oh, not to forget hypnotic!

The Spread the Vibes post, the deep and dark, hypnotic and the one that brings goosebumps was crafted by @edje. If we will use the counting the days' feature, I will have to be exact and say, 22 days ago. Usually, I am faster in responding to this challenge, each time I am invited. Getting the trigger, and knowing what to prepare or bring as a response, but the music that was shared with us was indeed deep and dark and it made me be even confused. But that is apart. I listened to the shared track, and more. To all shared links to other posts, the webpage of the artist, and further. CIO D'OR got my full attention. This sound architect lady, the designer, and the creator of all those effects made me want to listen to more, find out more, go deeper and further... Nothing seemed good enough to bring a decent response to her creation. I am far away to be at knowledge or any level to know how to bring a good match to her music. However, before I get into a more depressed state about this incompetence of mine, I read on her page the following:

Dear listeners of music!
Even though I seem to be quiet, I create, compose music every day. Nevertheless, some puzzles about publications as well as technical questions are still unclear and so I need a lot of patience at the moment. That trains gratitude despite all headwinds ;)
Another statement: Music is ABOVE all differences of people and is at best a transport to overcome differences.
For your patience, here are two Clavier snippets for YOU! (please click below)
Y.Cio D´Or

She says: Music is above all differences of people, and it is at best a transport to overcome differences! Also, the piano is included in this game!!! Clavier! That is all I needed, thank you, dear Cio D'Or 🙌 From here, I think I can have something to use as transport, but before my response, here come the two short gifts from the sound architect lady that she shared:

Piano. Dark. Water. Deep. Near.

Do you also see the same as I? And if we dont read anymore, just let ourselves overcome the differences and just listen, how about that? Wouldn't it be just perfect? Yes, but before the readers of this post maybe click the play button of Federico Albanese's piece, By The Deep Sea, and close their eyes, a few words about this artist. Who is he and why he is here today?

Who: An Italian pianist, composer, and music producer that I came across while listening to Ólafur Arnalds (this one is still to come in a more detailed post). I hear a mixture of classical, ambient electronic, beautifully shaped, and yes, hypnotic, airy, and meditative too. Before he released his solo albums, he collaborated with the daughter of Ludovico Einaudi!!! This audi guy always has to come somehow into the spread the vibes posts ;)

Why: I think I already somehow answered this, why he is my pick. Connection with Ludovico's daughter, and also because of the words mentioned above... and overcoming differences. I always seem to pull back to more classical, but maybe it is not bad at all?

A bit sad as this post is approaching its final stage... I would like to spend more time around CIO, around Federico, and bring some of the other pieces composed by him, but it can come in a separate post. For now, just By The Deep Sea. So, the part of the post where we invite other hivers to follow up with this challenge not challenge... Deciding in this very moment for the next people:

@jonamccallum, you said in your introduction post that you like music. I would be happy if you could share with us your musical taste through a spread the vibes post.

@leaky20, a few days ago you surprised me with an article with music topic. Although I like to travel with your publications, would you accept the challenge to spend some more musical vibes?

@kidfaye-official, a completely new hive member! Two weeks? I read your two blog posts and listened to the video, and my bad I didn't welcome you... but I would like to correct this and get you closer to this platform, where engaging and meeting other people is the best part of this journey! Welcome to hive and if you like, take part in the spread the vibes initiative!

@elliptique, also two weeks here. I see you bringing cool music and we already talked a bit in one of your posts. I would be glad to see you taking part in this challenge.

@edje, do you have some deeper and darker music, or would you go with some more light in your next spread the vibes post? Up to you...

Clarification on what is this challenge about. The very first post, where it was introduced and with all the guidelines on how to take part can be seen HERE! I recommend taking a look there. Also, more can be seen using the tag #spreadthevibes and selecting "recent" to see the chronological order of the posts. But for any further questions, I am here to answer :)

Sort:

I can sleep even after the "goose bumps"! 😊

That is good, I am glad you liked the music :)

❤️‍

22 days: All good! You are well in the time I take to respond. With this invite, the counter moved up again. Two invites to respond to. I shall not wait till my new tools arrive to do so. But no promises other than that I'll create at least two Spread the Vibes posts :)

You discovered music I didn't: The piano pieces by Cio D'or. How cool! I really really like them, and it gives me a fuzzy feeling as well she can play the piano (probably executed on a keyboard) as well. Not so many electronic artists can do that, though all have keyboards and play melodies on them for their tracks.

Music is above all differences of people, and it is at best a transport to overcome differences!

In all aspects, this is SOOOOO TRUE! I think I told you about the idea behind the original raves in the electronic (underground) scene back in the day? The idea of taking away anything that has to do with social status (and more) and enjoy the music and party together, as a group of equals. By now, the word rave is misused all the time, and many 'raves' are not like that anymore (depends very much on the music style and party organisers which may or may not attract the original rave peeps). A bit of a shame, but on a positive note, many in the electronic music industry now getting (well) paid for their work, while back in the days when raves were real raves still, the concept of earning-a-living was not part of the equation. Mostly voluntary work, from artists to organiser to the peeps helping out to get things done and arranged. Anyways, just wanted to comment on the music taking away all the difference :)

Frederico: Added this artist to my Spotify. Will for sure explore more his work and pieces! Sounds super.

That is perfect ;) The counter for your posts moved up!! You will choose the best time for creating them, waiting for the new tools or not, I will be glad to read and listen to more vibes!

Hm, as I said, Cio D'or got my full attention, and now even more after discovering this new feature of her, she has a new admirer in person of me. Well, dont know if I will be able to listen to her live, ever, but let's leave this in the hands of mañana.

No, I don't remember you told me it directly, but I could relate to it as a familiar information. Maybe in some posts you wrote or comments (for example a few days ago in your comment to the post of por500bolos) so yes, it sounds familiar and I think it is just great you had all this experience! Hopefully, in the future, this attitude of organizers can dominate again, ie the original idea can come back and gather the same minded people?

Federico, way more to come from him, but I decided just for this one track here. AND other poeple I discovered too while exploring his work!! The vibes were spreading themselves hahaha, I was so happy making this post!!

I am glad you liked the post and there will be response(s) ;))

Cio must be sooo happy! 🙇
Owwww you discovered Jon Hopkins by now (reading from the other comments)! a little post I did a few years ago.
Federico: more to come WEEEEEEEEEHOO 😆 🎶

Oh, a new post for me to check out 🤩 {sparkling-eyes-for-new-discoveries} Yes, Jon Hopkins, searched a bit and saw very interesting things already, but way more to learn and listen to 🎶🎶🎶

Haha, yes, posts will be rolling and rolling ✍️😂

Deep and dark would describe it perfectly, and noooo we shouldnt go back to the happier music already as winter has just really started and this suits it perfect with some woodfire in the background here.

Beautiful this Federico Albanese and gonna put this up here in the week for sure!

Hahah, we shouldn't go back to happier music? Ok,ok :) I agree with you, for this Spread the vibes it would be cool to stay in the same mood... ow, saw your post from yesterday and liked the track We Disappear , haha, just perfect to match some more dark vibes ;D
But, snow? You had snow already? ⛄️

Well the kind of saddy style suits the season I would say haha. Yesssss last saturday I woke up with some snow here which was a pleasant surprise as it was only very locally placed and no one had expected it. The dog was very happy I shall say hahahah

Oeee yeah Jon Hopkins just has a lot of these easy bouncy songs in there as well but you should check his latest piano album I think

I would be happy to see some snow too :))
Do you think this for example? This is soooooo nice ;D

I had no idea Jon Hopkins did a cover of Thom Yorke's Dawn Chorus. Such a beautiful track.

I was trying to find the piano things that @karinxxl mentioned, so found that one and also this beauty ;

💙

Nice post. This is the first that I've heard of the "challenge not challenge" topic. I have a certain style for my posts related to music. I really need to be inspired by a song. But I like the idea and will keep it in mind and try to take part :)
It just may take me a while lol

The challenge not challenge is here from February... well, mostly just a few peeps that we like to write these posts ;D
But, anyway, it is fun and nice and all and I would talk about this only in the superlative that much I like to prepare them ;))
As I said I was surprised by your music post, so I gave it a try to invite you ;)))

It just may take me a while lol

I will wait with patience 😁

Thank you for sharing this with me, what a nice moody song. Perfect for a cold winter day! Thank you also @mipiano for suggesting the challenge to me, I will definitely check it out! :)

That would be so nice @elliptique if you would take part too :) Thank you for reading and listening! 🎶

{sighhhhh}... I think I have conditioned hearing when it comes to music. By the Deep Sea sort of left me unmoved... to my simplistic ear not enough melody or structure... I apologise to Federico for my ignorant interpretation but that was keyboard country and western music {waves goodbye to future votes....discussions and possible friends}

{what about downvotes?} ;D

Now I have two options, make a bunch more posts of this style of music to get you used to it, or bin all the drafts with this style of music?

I think I should stick to the option uno :)

But of course you must stick to option uno{smile} ... I is a music Phillistine sometimes. And I am positive that there are many of your fans who love that music.

I will try to make as nicer posts as I can in the option uno :)

Taste is not to be discussed, we all have them different @themagus, so I dont see why you would call yourself a philistine. It is maybe me ;) I try to widen my taste and cross lines, that may have been here just because of not knowing the existence of some very interesting sounds before. And the journey is pretty enjoyable, the acceptance of new is like a discovery for inner yourself. Although something has been here for others before, each of us meets a new way of expression through music as an exciting learning process where you can pick what you like or not, depending on the reaction your gusto is providing ;)

Well said ...

just entered your blog like an hour ago and i just can´t get out! so much interesting things to read and to hear! sending a hug :)

hahah, welcome Julio ;)) un abrazo igualmente
