Hola queridos amigos blogueros, feliz domingo. Hoy quiero contarles de un libro que leí en una semana, y terminé hoy. Es un libro con las cualidades que me suelen atrapar: romance, distopía, con un toque medio histórico, y una protagonista con fuertes. Se llama The Traitors Kiss de Erin Beaty.

Tengo miles de libros esperando leerme, pero la semana pasada decidí comenzar a leer este y me quedé pegada, leyendo página tras páginas con ansias de saber más. Me encanta que haya aventura, misterio y secretos en las historias. Así que comencé a leerlo y me fascinó.
Primero les contaré sobre los personajes principales y secundarios:
-Sage La pajarera: Nuestra protagonista es una chica huérfana, que vive con sus tíos que son lords, es culta y la institutriz de sus primos. Sus padres fueron personas normales, que se ejercían al trabajo de campesinos. Es una chica de belleza promedio, flaca, pecosa, de ojos grises, pero personalidad atractiva. Muy detallista e inteligente.
-William de Broadmoor: Es el tío político de Sage, un hombre de carácter con varios hijos y que solo quiere ayudar a Sage a tener un futuro.
-Braelaura de Broadmoor: Tía de sangre de Sage, amorosa y una plebeya casada con un lord.
-Darnessa Rodelle: La casamentera mas famosa, que tiene poder, seguridad, y contactos.
-Fresno: El hijo ilegitimo del rey.
-Quinn: El capitán de la guardia, poderoso, dominante, inteligente y bastante sincero. El hijo mayor del general.
-Robert: Hijo del rey, primo de Quinn. Y hermano de Fresno.
-Clare: Hija de un lord, una chica dulce y cariñosa, que no quiere un mal destino.
-Charlie: Hermano de Quinn. Un niño lindo, inteligente, entregado y valiente.
Todo empieza con el tío Willian queriendo casar a Sage ahora que tiene 17 años, y la manda con una casamentera, y allí comienza la verdadera aventura. Cuando se vuelve la aprendiz, y tiene un trabajo como asistente que hacer.
Hay guerras y grupos de invasores dentro del reino, traidores que solo desean acabar con el rey, pero Quinn y su ejercito leal, intentan impedirlo, pero primero deben saber cuales son los planes de su enemigo.
Todos los años se hace un evento llamado Concordium, al que asisten todas las chicas mayores de 16 años con la casamentera Darnelle, y en esas fechas del evento, se llevan a acabo matrimonios, pero primero hacen una gira con todas las chicas por las tierras de los lords hasta llegar a la capital. Pero hay peligros al acecho.

Así que asignan a los guardias para cuidar de las chicas que van al concordium con la casamentera, y allí tienen que descubrir que pasará antes de que sea demasiado tarde para ellos o el reino entero.
Quedé satisfecha con la historia, al ver personajes bien hechos, y los personajes que tenían cierto misterio, jugaron bien con las identidades de algunos soldados, hasta revelar el misterio detrás de todo.
Me encantó el protagonista masculino, y la protagonista femenina. Así como algunos secundarios. Como Clare y Charlie. En fin, después de mucho tiempo leí un libro en menos de un mes y quedé de nuevo queriendo leer mas y más.

Hello dear blogging friends, happy Sunday. Today I want to tell you about a book I read in a week, and finished today. It's a book with the qualities that usually get me: romance, dystopia, with a half historical touch, and a protagonist with fortes. It's called The Traitors Kiss by Erin Beaty.

I have thousands of books waiting to be read, but last week I decided to start reading this one and I was glued, reading page after page eager to know more. I love that there is adventure, mystery and secrets in stories. So I started reading it and was fascinated.
First I'll tell you about the main and secondary characters:
-Sage The Birdhouse: our main character is an orphan girl, who lives with her uncles who are lords, she is cultured and the governess of her cousins. Her parents were normal people, who worked as farmers. She is a girl of average beauty, skinny, freckled, gray-eyed, but attractive personality. Very detail oriented and intelligent.
William of Broadmoor: He is Sage's uncle-in-law, a man of character with several children and who only wants to help Sage to have a future.
-Braelaura of Broadmoor: Sage's blood aunt, loving and a commoner married to a lord.
-Darnessa Rodelle: The most famous matchmaker, who has power, security, and connections.
-Fresno: The king's illegitimate son.
-Quinn: The captain of the guard, powerful, dominant, intelligent and quite sincere. The eldest son of the general.
-Robert: Son of the king, Quinn's cousin. And brother of Fresno.
-Clare: Daughter of a lord, a sweet and loving girl, who does not want a bad fate.
-Charlie: Quinn's brother. A cute, smart, dedicated and brave boy.
It all starts with Uncle Willian wanting to marry Sage off now that she is 17, and he sends her to a matchmaker, and there the real adventure begins. When she becomes the apprentice, and has a job as an assistant to do.
There are wars and groups of invaders within the kingdom, traitors who only wish to do away with the king, but Quinn and his loyal army, try to stop them, but first they must know what their enemy's plans are.
Every year there is an event called Concordium, attended by all the girls over 16 years old with the matchmaker Darnelle, and on those dates of the event, marriages take place, but first they make a tour with all the girls through the lands of the lords until they reach the capital. But there are dangers lurking.

So they assign the guards to take care of the girls going to the concordium with the matchmaker, and there they have to find out what will happen before it's too late for them or the whole kingdom.
I was satisfied with the story, seeing well done characters, and the characters that had some mystery, they played well with the identities of some soldiers, until revealing the mystery behind it all.
I loved the male lead, and the female lead. As well as some of the secondary characters. Like Clare and Charlie. Anyway, after a long time I read a book in less than a month and I was left again wanting to read more and more.
