CERAMIC LETTERBOX IN ANDALUSIA
Hello dear friends,
here I am back after a while...I had guests at home so I had no time to write a post...😅
But today I share some pictures of ceramic letterboxes which are numerous in Spain, and especially in Andalusia.
There are many different designs and below you can see several examples.

Peró ggi condivido delle foto di bucalettere in ceramica che sono molto frequenti in Spagna, e soprattutto in Andalusia.
Ce ne sono di tutti i tipi e qui sotto potete vederne diversi esempi.
Maybe one day when I will have my own house I would like to model and paint my personal ceramic letterbox 😃

The ceramic letter boxes look well crafted and beautiful. I wonder if they are meant only for letters or if just anything that can be mailed can also be put in them. Thanks for sharing them for us to view.

They used to send letters in this way from earlier times, that time was also very good, but now the era of mobile phones has passed away, but still such things are still very special and the good thing is that in this way you have selected the combination of their colors, their beauty has increased.
You're right, before it was for letters and postcards, now it's for paying bills😅

Looks great - I thought that was mostly in Portugal, I seen a lot of ceramic decorations on houses there, but come to think of it, when I was in Toledo, there was a lot of ceramic folk art found in the shops there as well.
What would keep you from making one for yourself - even though you just rent your place?
Not feasible in my apartment building in Vienna - all standard Postal issue metal for all the tenants.
In Canada (also USA) there are the usual metal boxes in various shapes. But early nineties I decorated one for a gallery fundraising auction, which sold for just under $ 1,000.-.

Ja, genau. Nannte es 'Rudi schreib mal'. Ich malte sein Portrait mit der Zunge raus auf der eine Briefmarke ist mit meinem Logo. Das war 1992. Er starb 1995. Von 1980 an als ich ihn besuchte hatten wir gelegentlich Briefwechsel. Er hat mir damals viele Bücher und Unterlagen über die Wiener Schule geschickt.
