LXST CXNTURY
Have you ever heard the term Phonk music? If not, today I’ll be introducing one of the famous Phonk artists, LXST CXNTURY. But, before we dive deep into LXST CXNTURY discography, I’ll tell you what Phonk is.
Phonk is quite a loose term but it also encompasses trap, hip hop and rap. Although when talking about Phonk, people in the scene refers it more to influence of Memphis Rap. However as this scene grows, there are also many variations to it such as a phonk mixed with Rap, Hip Hop and pop. To easily distinguish this subgenre with others is that there’s always a mix of lofi and cowbell in its musical arrangement. One of the top phonk artist is Kordhell but today, we’re talking about LXST CXNTURY. Both artist, have its own signature with LXST CXNTURY has more space vibe to it which is a lot closer to ambient music.

According to Last FM, he is from Belarus and his real name is Ivan. His trop track is Odium but I beg to differ. So, let’s dive into his discography!

If you enjoy listening to music while trying to be productive, LXST CXNTURY offers a great background noise. Its ambiance is perfect to listen to because it doesn’t have strong lyrical sound and the arrangement is more Lofi type.
Latest Work
While Osaka isn’t necessarily his latest work, in my humble opinion, it is one of the best. The beat is dropped in the perfect timing and while you can’t really focus on the lyrics, it is the beat and the musical arrangement that you’re looking for.
To be fair, this is what makes the Phonk scene interesting. There’s always something for everyone. Whether you like phonk that has rich lyrics or simply ambience phonk that accompanies you to study.

If there's a one hour playlist that I can recommend, it is this one from Phonkonaut where it has created an hour full of LXST CXNTURY playlist. This one comes with a video of a train ride during the night and this type of music is best to listen to if you’re riding a car or again studying like what I normally do when I listen to this type of music.
Anyway, while LXST CXNTURY isn’t my top personal Phonk favorite artist but I thought to recommend this for three tunes tuesday because it’s a lot easier to listen than the indie typical phonk such as Haarper and Kordhell.
