Hello dear photography lovers friends at #Hive!.... Well, today is Monday and a good day to go through my RAW files and select some portraits to process them in monochrome mode and make me part of this #monomoday... And when I say ‘portraits’ I mean not only photos of humans, but I've also decided to share with you some captures of dog, cats, a bird and even a lizard and a donkey lady!... So I have some very diverse portraits for you today! ;)

¡Hola queridos amigos amantes dela fotografía en #Hive!... Bien, hoy es lunes y un buen día para pasear a través de mis archivos RAW y seleccionar algunos retratos para procesarlos en modo monocromático y hacerme parte de este #monomoday... Y cuando digo "retratos" me refiero no solo a fotos de humanos, sino que también he decidido compartir con ustedes algunas capturas de perro, gatos, una ave e incluso un lagarto y una señora burro... ¡Así que tengo retratos muy diversos para ustedes hoy! ;)

📷 01 "Francisco" / _"Francisco"

I took this photo this morning. It's my friend and former workmate Francisco, I think I haven't seen him since about 5 years ago when he went to another country to solve some health problems that afflicted him, fortunately Francisco is now completely healthy and I celebrated it making this portrait of him... :)

Esta foto la hice hoy en la mañana. Se trata de mi amigo y antiguo compañero de trabajo Francisco, creo que no le veía desde hace unos 5 años cuando se fue a otro país para resolver algunos problemas de salud que le aquejaban, afortunadamente ya Francisco está totalmente saludable y lo he celebrado haciéndole este retrato... :)

📷 02 "Chachito" / _"Chachito"

Look at this adorable creature!... He's smiling!... I encountered him on a street south of town, as soon as I greeted him (yes, I usually greet dogs in the street) he ran up to me and started jumping at my feet and asking to be petted... I found out that his name is ‘Chachito’ thanks to his owner calling him from the door of the house he seems to have left without permission!... What a nice little doggy!

¡Miren esta adorable criatura!... ¡Está sonriendo!... Me topé con él en una calle al Sur del pueblo, apenas lo saludé (sí, yo suelo saludar a los perros en la calle) corrió hacia mi y comenzó a saltar a mis pies y a solicitar ser acariciado... Supe que si nombre es "Chachito" gracias a que su dueña lo llamó desde la puerta de la casa de la cual parece haber salido sin permiso... ¡Vaya un perrito simpático!.

📷 03 "Tom" / _"Tom"

‘Tom’ is a cat from my nearby neighbourhood, he belongs to a friend who sells hats and shoes in his own house, so Tom is always around there looking at everyone around him. He is a very young kitten, not yet his first year old, but he always has that serious and thoughtful look on his face... Ideal for a portrait I think!

"Tom" es un gato de mi vecindario cercano, pertenece a un amigo que vende gorras y zapatos en su propia casa, así que Tom siempre está cerca de allí mirando a todos a su alrededor. Es un gatito muy joven, aún no cumple su primer año, sin embargo siempre tiene ese semblante serio y pensativo... ¡Ideal para un retrato me parece!.

📷 04 "Yoda" / _"Yoda"

‘Yoda’ is my most pampered cat, he was born in our house almost 4 years ago, since he was little he had vision difficulties and he was quite small, so we decided to keep him and not to get him an adoptive family... So Yoda became our cat for ever and an excellent model for photos!... ;)

"Yoda" es mi gato más consentido, nació en nuestra casa casi 4 años atrás, desde pequeño presentó dificultades de visión y era bastante pequeño, así que decidimos quedarnos con él y no conseguirle una familia adoptiva... ¡Así yoda se convirtió en nuestro gato para siempre y en un excelente modelo para fotos!... ;)

📷 05 "Tirso" / _"Tirso"

Tirso lives a few streets from my house and is an excellent musician. Well, he is also a bricklayer, farmer and ‘anything else that helps him to earn his living’, as he himself says... Tirso has a marked fondness for coffee, he even grows coffee plants on his land so that he can enjoy this beverage to his pleasure...

Tirso vive a pocas calles de mi casa y es un excelente músico. Bueno, también es albañil, agricultor y "cualquier otra cosa que le sirva para ganarse la vida" tal como él mismo suele decir... Tirso tiene una marcada afición por el café, incluso suele sembrar plantas de café en sus tierras para poder degustar a placer esta bebida...

📷 06 "A lady donkey" / _{"Una señora burro"}

Many people here breed donkeys (and other equines) as a form of transport... But to me these animals look like cute pets!... Look at that look of the donkey lady!... Don't you think there is a lot of intelligence and tenderness there?...

Aquí muchas personas crían burros (y otros equinos) como medio de transporte... ¡Pero a mi estos animales me parecen lindas mascotas!... ¡Miren esa mirada de la señora burro!... ¿No creen que hay mucha inteligencia y ternura allí?...

📷 07 "Lina" / _"Lina"

Surely those who follow my content on #Hive already know Lina.... She is an excellent friend and neighbour, she makes her living by preparing food and selling it at home or even at her house... Lina was born in the mountains, but she came to live in the village when she was young with the intention of enrolling her children in school and providing them with studies that they could not receive in places far away from the town centre... But Lina remains deeply attached to her beloved mountains, so it is not unusual to see her leaving every week to visit the lands of her parents and siblings...

Seguramente quienes sigan mi contenido en #Hive ya conocerán a Lina... Ella es una excelente amiga y vecina, vive de preparar comida y venderla a domicilio o incluso en su casa... Lina nació en las montañas, pero se vino a vivir al pueblo siendo joven con la intención de inscribir a sus hijos en la escuela y procurarles estudios que no podrían recibir en lugares alejados del casco urbano... Pero Lina sigue profundamente ligada a sus amadas montañas, así que no es extraño verla partir todas las semana a visitar las tierras de sus padres y hermanos...

📷 08 "Tickcatcher" / _{"Garrapatero"}

When I propose to do a portraits post, I dare to include any creature!... So this nice specimen of the common tickcatcher could not be missing here. These are not very graceful birds, but they make up for their untidy appearance with an intelligent and sometimes mischievous look... They are extremely sociable by the way!

¡Cuando me propongo hacer un post de retratos, me atrevo a incluir los de cualquier criatura!... Así que este simpático ejemplar de garrapatero común no podía faltar aquí. Estas son aves no muy agraciadas, pero compensan su aspecto desprolijo con una mirada inteligente y a veces socarrona... ¡Son extremadamente sociables por cierto!.

Since a bird has sneaked into this post... Then it is also propitious to include one of our tiny and curious lizards!... This photo is ‘almost a macro’ but this lizard allowed this ‘portrait’ because her curiosity for my camera and me was almost as great as mine for her... :))

Ya que se ha colado un ave en este post... ¡Entonces es propicio también incluir una de nuestras diminutas y curiosas lagartijas!... Esta foto es "casi un macro" pero esta lagartija permitió este "retrato" debido a que su curiosidad por mi cámara y yo, era casi tan grande como la mía por ella... :))

And to finish off this post, nothing better than a portrait of my neighbour Charro!... I have little to say about this dear friend... I've known him since I was a child and I've always seen him smiling!... I've never seen him angry!... It seems that the ‘Charro’ is immune to disappointment! :)

¡Y para culminar este post, nada mejor que un retrato de mi vecino Charro!... Tengo poco que decir respecto a este querido amigo... ¡Le conozco desde que yo era un niño y siempre le he visto sonriendo!... ¡jamás le he visto enfadado!... ¡Parece que el "Charro" es inmune a los desazones! :)
