Last Day In Tenerife

Our holiday has come to an end, and it has been a great place and an enjoyable few days.

I'm not one for lounging around, but that's essentially all we've done while being here, and it has been nice just to relax and chill. Usually I'd have a bit of a plan for things to do, but for this trip Aimee just wanted to rest the head.

Here's a picture of the main eating area where you can have breakfast, and dinner.

When we booked it we decided just to get breakfast, because we knew we'd be going out for food at different places.

I haven't had a vanilla coke in so long.

For a while they sold them over in Ireland, not long ago, but it was only the sugar free version which didn't taste the same.

Okay, so on the second day here we got our swim stuff on in the afternoon to go down and sit by the pool, but the elevator stopped working.

We go to the ground floor and the doors wouldn't open. Aimee panicked a bit, but I managed to keep her calm. She rang the alarm which sounded in the elevator and throughout the hotel and there was a nice couple sitting near by who went to get help.

A bunch of staff came to help, but couldn't get the door open more than a jar before it closed again. Soon more staff came and wrenched it open to free us.

It was warm inside there, and kind of embaressing due to one wall of the lift being made of glass. We were like fish in a bowl.

They were really apologetic and I told them not to worry about it, and that these things happen. She took down our room number and said they'd send us something for the trouble.

Around 7 o'clock we were sent a bottle of Cava, and a few glasses.

It was well worth 10 minutes of hassle.

We waited until the following day to have it, and it was fun, chatting, laughing and listening to some music.

We went for a stroll along the beach one of the days, and it had these interesting rock formations.

There was a lot of volcanic activity in the formation of these islands - as there was with the whole world really - and it's very clear when looking at places like this.

As we were walking we came across this place which is something of a public pool area.

I thought the water looked so nice, but we didn't get into it.

One of the days we decided to go mini golfing and it was fun.

The days were kind of overcast but I much rathered that, as opposed to seering heat the entire time.

I snapped this picture of Aimee when we finished golf and went to get some food.

Last night we went to a local bar that done a 2 for 1 cocktail deal for guests of our particular hotel.

I thought this was a nice view of the mountains from right outside our hotel gate.

We went to a Japenese place for dinner last night, and of course Aimee looks at the drinks menu first.

Initially neither of us could use the chopsticks since it had been a while, but soon we got the hang of it.

Living the good life.man.

It has been a really good trip to be fair, I'd like to come back again at some stage.

Really glad you enjoyed your holidays man.... You shared great stuff, I love the coca cola flavor 😂😂😂 can't wait for the Next blog... happy Holidays man

Thank you, I appreciate that dude. It's been a lot of fun, and well needed.

I'm looking forward to getting back home now though.

Safe journey back home killer

You guys look like it was so much fun and I love that for you. I still don't know where this place is though. I'd love to visit one day.🌺

Also, I didn't know Coca-Cola had a vanilla flavour. I can't possibly imagine what it must taste like.

It's so nice, but I wouldn't drink too many of them. It's nice for a change though.

It's Tenerife, part of the Canary Islands off the west coast of Africa. It's a nice place, but the particular area we stayed is a bit too touristy, which I don't really like. But, it's still nice.

It must be great having a bit of me time between the two of you. Did you miss the little man a lot?

That's one thing I didn't add here. On the second night we went to the hard rock cafe and there was a family with a little baby sitting next to us and we were looking over laughing, and talking about Kaleb and bringing him over next summer.

Then, Aimee said I miss him, and I said me too, and kind of wished we'd brought him, especially after seeing other couples with children younger than him.

Aimee started crying then and had to go to the bathroom, and the rest of the night ended on a sombre tone. Personally, I think it was the alchohol that made the emotions a bit heightened.

We just wanted to go home then, but made the most of the following days. We're both looking forward to getting back to him though.

Awhh! I guess it was natural to miss him, what parent wouldn't. But I imagine the grandparents were loving the time to have Kaleb to themselves for a change 😉 and you know he was in safe and loving hands.

Looks like a nice trip. I hope you both feel refreshed.

Thanks man, yeah we both feel recharged, but we're looking forward to just getting back home now.
