Od gotické tvrze k anglické gotice
Na místě dnešního zámku v Hodoníně stávala v minulosti pevnost – pozdně gotická tvrz chráněná příkopem a zdí. Během 16. století prošla tvrz postupnou přeměnou na renesanční zámek.

Další proměna přišla v barokním duchu v letech 1709–1710, kdy zámek prošel rozsáhlou přestavbou podle návrhu architekta Domenica Martinelliho. Za tuto proměnu mohl fakt, že bzenecké panství získal hrabě Erdman z Pruskova.

V 50. letech 19. století byl zámek zcela zbořen a na jeho místě byl v letech 1853–1855 se značnými finančními náklady postaven zámek nový ve stylu anglické gotiky.

Another transformation came in the Baroque spirit in the years 1709–1710, when the castle underwent an extensive reconstruction according to the design of the architect Domenico Martinelli. This change was due to the fact that the Bzenec estate was acquired by Count Erdman from Pruskov.

In the 1850s, the castle was completely demolished, and a new castle in the English Gothic style was built in its place between 1853 and 1855 at considerable expense.

Snažím se najít alternativu, protože co pak? TravelFeed mi absolutně nevyhovuje. Má šíleně nepřívětivé a zmatkovité prostředí, aspoň pro mne. Nejspíš se ted uchýlím k příspěvkům s kytičkama a krajinkama a pak se uvidí
