Indoor Garden Update - Clones And More!

in WeedCash Networklast year (edited)

Hello Everyone,

My post today is dedicated to clones, but I also took a couple photos of the cannabis so I'll share those as well.

Let's get right into it!

Graptopetalum/Sedum hybrid succulent

The introduction photo is a succulent I've had for a few years. Its home for the past few months has been the clone tent, and this plant itself is a clone. In fact all of the Graptopetalum/Sedum hybrids in this tent are clones from petals. I almost lost the plant entirely a couple of times before I finally figured out which environment(s) it thrives in.

Recently my Graptopetalum/Sedum hybrids succumbed to some kind of fungal infection and were heavily treated with neem oil. It worked and the plants are once again under neem oil treatment, this time due to a pest infestation.

The prior fungal infection afforded me the opportunity to try bonsai style growth with the surviving stems. There was no petals growing and I simply stuck fat stems in the soil in hopes it would work. It was a massive success and I really like the structure of these small succulents now.

They are in 3D printed pots that I designed myself in Tinkercad.

Fluminensis Variegata Tradescantia

Fluminensis Variegata Tradescantia

This is one of the Tradescantia plants I'm growing. It roots vigorously and fast.

The clone in the photo above is ready for transplant and could be sold as a rooted clone.

Selling rooted clones of plants like this is something I'm considering.

I also have three variegated bubblegum tradescantias, which are the purple plants. I'm quite sure all three are rooted.

Also in the clone tent is a couple of small aloe shoots in a 3D printed pot. They've been rather stagnant but they're healthy and will probably grow eventually.

Blushing Bride Tradescantia

These tradescantias were in the clone tent for a while, but the humidity was too much for them and they've been rapidly dying. There's new growth and I have them under extremely intense light at the moment. I'm confident the intense light will stimulate their growth.

These plants seem to like intense light, contrary to what I've read in some places.

This is a Pothos vine clipping that I'm really excited about. It is rooting vigorously at the moment in this 3D printed propagation box.

In this photo above we can see the roots!

I used polylactic acid (PLA) to print this. This was a silk color change filament and I love how it came out.

I print a lot of different things on this 3D printer. The brand is an Ender 3 V2, but doesn't look much like a stock machine because I've added many customizations. Many of the parts are held together with hot glue and work just fine that way :)

Last but certainly not least are the cannabis plants:

I've been experimenting around with the macro lens and getting more comfortable with it.

Out of the captures today, the best clarity came from 50% magnification on the phone in conjunction with the lens, closer magnification causes blurring. Maybe if I fix a jewelers loupe in place I can get closer with good clarity.

All photos in this post were taken with a Moto G 5G 2022 model smartphone.

That will do it for today.

What do you all think of the plants I'm growing and cloning?

I would love to read your thoughts in the comment section!

Thank you for stopping by,

Have a great day! -@futuremind

beautiful life :3

@tipu curate

Thank you my friend <3

I wonder how your house smells like 😌 nope I don't have that kind of fetish, but I've been doing computer servicing for an elderly whose house has a ton of indoor nurtured plants(except that happy plant), that smell "fresh".

Side note, super like your arms. The size is just nice imo. A very normal but looks strong pair of arms with not too scary amount of veins

nope I don't have that kind of fetish,
Side note, super like your arms.

There's no fetishes going on here 🤣

There's not a lot of smells in here, aside from the budding cannabis smell, but it is an elusive smell that I'm very used to, so I probably do not smell it as much as some would.

Thank you for the compliment about my arms brother. I am not even (s)exercising right now so they are not as beastly as usual.
I should probably do some exercises to stay in shape.

I love that propagation box! So pretty, and useful. Do you dip the roots in anything?

And that photo of the bud! Gorgeous!!!! Reminds me of that glass artist, Chihuly

Thank you @owasco!

No I don't dip the roots. Prior to rooting I use a powder based hormone sometimes, but not always. For the pothos vine I didn't use anything.

I accidently broke a root while transplanting it too, but there are a few roots in total and I think it will still root fine from this point.

That Chihuly art is super cool. I can see the similarity you're talking about with the macros. So cool, I was mesmerized looking at some of those images.

All of these pictures are enough to make your house beautiful
You are a good photographer too

Thank you @rafzat!
I'm working on multiplying many of these plants so I can put them all around the house :)
I try my best with the photography, I take cheap stuff and try to make it better. It's a 100 dollar phone with a cheap macro magnifier.

Awesome work!

Thanks bro!

You are very welcome and you've got an amazing grow area.

I see the trichomes better in your photo than with my magnifying glass. Nice!
For what it's worth I can tell you that I have sold some photos and tradescantias plants. The photos are the most in demand ;)

Thank you @happyfrog420-new!

The trichome inspection should be a breeze for me now, and it's certainly impressive how well these magnifiers work with smartphones.

I have a few different variegated tradescantias and a few other cool plants. I'm definitely thinking about cloning and selling some :)

how you are doing now? how is your mental health?

My mental health is like a pendulum that swings back and forth.
Today it feels fine.

Thank you for stopping by @itwithsm!

Dude that owl poster is wild! Those purple plants remind me of sail boats.

Thanks bro! It's a tapestry I found on Amazon a few years ago. I use it like a big curtain to better cover some windows in my living room.

The purple tradescantias do look like sail boats lol.
