Una “sonrisa de fuego” podrá verse en el firmamento en el mes de abril de este año, durante el esplendor de la primavera podrá disfrutarse de un gran fenómeno. Aproximadamente al medio día del día 20, la luz solar desaparecerá frente a una silueta oscura y perfectamente redonda, que la interceptará por algunos segundos.
Recientemente, la NASA anunció la aparición de un nuevo eclipse solar total en este 2023, mientras que por su parte el Instituto de Geofísica de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM, asegura que este eclipse será visible el día 20 de abril. La sombra tendrá una cobertura de entre 80 y 280 kilómetros, y tendrá lugar cuando la Luna alcance una alineación perfecta entre la Tierra y el Sol.
“Un eclipse solar ocurre cuando la Luna se coloca entre la Tierra y el Sol, proyectando una sombra sobre la Tierra”, definición de acuerdo a Space.
Estos eventos astronómicos son completamente naturales. Generalmente, ocurren entre 1 y 2 veces al año, sin embargo no son visibles en todo el mundo al mismo tiempo. Se cree que el eclipse solar de este año podrá ser visible solo en el Océano Pacífico, Océano Índico, Australia, Asia sudoriental y la Antártida; eso quiere decir que sólo será visible en el Hemisferio Sur.
Lamentablemente, en América no podrá ser visto este año, sino que habrá que esperar para el del 8 de abril del 2024, cuando podrá observarse un fenómeno similar en el firmamento. Aunque a pesar de que ambos eventos ocurrirán en el mes de abril a una distancia de casi un año entre cada uno, se trata de eventos astronómicos diferentes.

It is believed that this year's solar eclipse will be visible only in the Pacific Ocean, Indian Ocean, Australia, Southeast Asia and Antarctica; that means that it will only be visible in the Southern Hemisphere.
Unfortunately, in America it will not be able to be seen this year, but we will have to wait for the one of April 8, 2024, when a similar phenomenon can be observed in the sky. Although both events will occur in the month of April at a distance of almost a year between each, they are different astronomical events.
