Hey guys! After reaching "Necropole delle Grotte", I noticed the countless burial chambers in the village of dead. The whole spectacle is located in an archaeological park of Baratti and Populonia on an area of over 80 ha can be found buildings and tombs from Etruscan and Roman times. The burial chambers date back to the Hellenistic era from the 4th to the 2nd century BC. The burial chambers on the coastal plain were from the 7th to the 6th century BC, and not only human skeletal remains were found in these chambers but also silver, bronze and even remains of wooden chariot with bronze paneling.
My walk this time was a bit different than usual and I would like to share these impressions ...

Her you can see a so-called adikula grave in the form of a house with pitched roof in the necropolis of San Cerbone. Right next to it is a box grave

Hallo an alle da draussen! Nachdem ich die "Necropole delle Grotte“ erreicht habe, fielen mir die unzähligen Grabkammern im Ort der Toten auf. Das ganze Spektakel befindet sich im Archäologischen Park von Baratti und Populonia auf einer Fläche von über 80 ha kann man Bauwerke und Gräber aus etruskischer und römischer Zeit bestaunen. Die Grabkammern stammen aus der hellenistischen Epoche vom 4. bis zum 2. Jahrhundert vor Christus. Die Grabkammern in der Ebene an der Küsten stammten wiederum aus dem 7. bis 6. Jahrhundert vor Christus, in diesen Kammern wurden nicht nur menschliche Knochenüberreste gefunden sondern auch Silber, Bronze und sogar Überreste hölzerneren Streitwagen mit Bronzeverkleidung.
Mein Spaziergang war diesmal etwas anders als sonst und diese Eindrücke möchte ich gerne teilen …
Hier sind in den Fels gehauene Höhlengräber in der "Necropoli delle Grotte" zu sehen
Hier sehen wir ein Ädikulagrab in Form eines Hauses mit Dach in der Nekropole San Cerbone. Rechts daneben befindet sich ein Kistengrab
