As promised in our proposal, here's a summary of our latest developments.
Keychain extension
We're happy to announce that after receiving many applications, we started working with a team of designers at the beginning of this month. We're very satisfied with their work so far, both in terms of quality and speed. They are working on the extension side of things for now and will move to the mobile Apps when they are done. Many of you will be happy to know that this will come with a light and dark version of our products.
@cedricguillas and I are working hard to get our swap feature to Beta as early as possible next month. This feature will allow you to easily swap Hive, HBD, and any Hive Engine token. More on this soon.
More work is going towards adding integration tests to our new features and restructuring the extension to follow our new multichain approach.
Mobile App
We've just pushed an update (v1.12.2), already live on Android and pending review on iOS.
This allows to clear browser data with a long press on the Browser button. This can be useful in case a website causes your App to crash.
We also made some changes to allow Sting Chat to work on mobile and added some dApps to the ecosystem.

To import accounts quickly from your Hive Keychain extension to your mobile App, use the QR Code scanner by pressing the QR code logo:
On your extension, navigate to the menu (top right button), then to Manage Accounts, and finally click Show QR Code.

Hi @keychain team. I have a suggestion for the use of Hive Keychain as a point of sale device. I think there may be a pressing need for it in the near future.
Have you noticed the recent post by @hivesucre about the merchants accepting HBD in Sucre?
Hive Keychain is working great as the de facto standard wallet on mobile. However, it seems to me that there isn't really a great option for merchants to use any Hive application as a Point of Sale. Users having to type the shop's name in and choose the amount in HBD for themselves, isn't quite ideal. It adds several steps (friction, not so smooth like tapping a credit card) to making a transaction and also allows a fair bit of potential for human error.
It would be great if the merchants could use Hive Keychain in a kind of 'Point of Sale' mode. For example, the merchant would press an 'invoice' button on the Hive Keychain wallet, and enter the amount for the order. It displays a QR code, or enables NFC for the same purpose. Customer scans QR code or taps with NFC. Their Keychain then presents them with a transfer transaction. They still need to confirm the transaction for themselves. Customer presses send, and then on the merchant's device, they see some kind of ✅ confirmation symbol or animation when the transaction is confirmed.
It's just a suggestion, I think this could add a lot of value to Hive Keychain for those who are beginning to experiment with using HBD for real, in-person commerce, which is a trend that is just kicking off and has great potential.
Hi @demotruk, that's a great idea and something we thought about before, but since it's a feature that would be used by a very small percentage of our users (Hive Powered shop owners), I think their side of things should happen in a separate App.
And customers can just use their Keychain to scan the QR Code (this feature already exists).
Do you see any reason I'm missing why the shop part should be in the same App?
You are right, a separate app makes sense, and should be fairly straightforward.
