v2.5 is now live on Chromium and pending review on Firefox, coming with a bunch of new features we hope you will enjoy!
Key Protection
Keychain 2.5 introduces two more tools to make sure you are keeping your keys safe.
When sending a transfer with a memo, Keychain now verifies that no private key is passed in a memo, and shows a warning otherwise. This should improve the protection of our new users.
Along with this, we are rolling out another feature that detects if your keys have been changed. Every time the Keychain popup is opened and unlocked, it will check if your accounts' keys still correspond to the on-chain public keys. If not, a warning will be displayed and wrong kills will be highlighted in the "Manage account" page.
In most cases, this will remind users to update their keys after they changed them. But in the event of a malicious action on the account, this feature will help detect it right away.
My witness page
Witnesses can now keep an eye on their block producer's performance directly from Keychain, as well as change their parameters and activate/disable their witness.
UI/UX
We've been working with designers these past months and are now about to start integrating the new designs on the extension side. We're excited for the things to come and we hope you are too! =)

As a new member here, I must say that Hive Keychain is truly much more practical and cool compared to the wallet extensions I used before. In fact, when I clicked on the extension today, I saw a gift box at the top. It turns out that it was the payment for a blog post I had previously written. I had a funny moment of thinking Hive Keychain had sent me a gift)

Will this be available on Firefox Android?
We don't support mobile browsers as they don't work properly with the extensions. You can use our mobile Apps that include an in-App browser instead.
Ah I see. I already use the keychain app on Android. I hope you guys add desktop mode in the browser there.
I've actually spent a long time trying to make the desktop mode work on mobile and for some weird reason, it won't work with some websites. It's probably something to do with the webview on React Native, but I don't have a solution at the moment.

Hey Dean! It's already doable by a generic broadcast as per dApp request, but not doable from the popup. I don't think that's a feature we'll add in the popup since it seems more like an application specific usecase.

Hey frens! Love Keychain on desktop and mobile. I'm wondering if there could be a way to view your NFTs on Keychain? that way you have one place to view your digital assets.

Hey, yep definitely thought about and sunk a lot of time and effort trying to do it, but as it is, NFTs on Hive are a mess with no clear protocol on the data format. On top of this, they are hard to filter and sort on Hive Engine.
Until this is addressed, I don't think we can implement NFTs in a good way.
Thanks so much for responding. Yeah, that's too bad. I run a recording studio (@recording-box) and have some ideas I'd like to try with art NFTs and music NFTs for clients, it's just a pain having to go to different sites for each and they can't be traded in a common marketplace.
I'll keep asking about this and maybe one day we can come up with a solution.
