EOSYS NEWS: EOSIO HK Meetup, Crypto VIP Night, and college club Meetup

Dear Community,

We are EOSYS, EOSscan.io builders running as the First Block Producer Candidate from Korea. In order to vitalize the EOSIO Ecosystem, EOSYS actively engaged and organized activities this week, and happy to share these in Korean, English and Chinese to share with the whole EOS community.

Please see below for the details of EOSYS’ key activities:

Attending EOSIO HK Meetup and meeting great BP candidates,
Organizing Crypto VIP Night for Korean community,
Meeting college clubs to talk about blockchain and EOSIO.

EOSIO HK Meetup

EOSYS team attended EOSIO HK Meetup which was held at Hong Kong on April 6th. Charles (CEO) and Christy (Head of Business Development) was at the Meetup to talk with Block.one and other BP candidates from all over the world and publicized our plans and pledges as a BP candidate representing South Korea once again, building solid partnerships with them.

On this day, there were several big official announcements including EOSIO Dawn 3.0 announcement, Global Hackathon Series announcement, Asia-based VC Partnership. Crypto VIP Night

On April 3rd , Deconomy, one of the biggest Blockchain conferences we’ve ever had, was in Seoul and crypto people from all over the world gathered up. In the evening, EOSYS invited great people in the Crypto world to introduce the blockchain/crypto scene of Korea and provided a networking space for people to mingle up.

More than 150 people including blockchain and cryptocurrency VC, investors, entrepreneurs, researchers and journalists graced the event with their presence. We had a meaningful time introducing major domestic blockchain projects where EOSYS would love to engage going forward, building an EOS Ecosystem and community in Korea.

Meetup with one of the best Blockchain college club: YBL

On March 23rd, Students passionate over blockchain gathered at Yonsei University. Charles, CEO of EOSYS, delivered a speech regarding the past, present and future of blockchain.

Charles explained the breakthrough of EOS and what EOS is aiming to do, introducing the big picture of EOS ecosystem. Many students paid great attentions and solved their curiosity through Q&A session after the lecture. Regarding the lecture, Hyunjae Lee, the president of YBL, said:

“ I was often obsessed with minor things, but this lecture taught me what the fundamental of blockchain is and which things I can do best as a student. It also made me make a firm resolution that I would make healthy blockchain ecosystem. The lecture was awesome.”

EOSYS will continuously support college clubs in evangelizing Blockchain, Cryptocurrency and most importantly EOSIO going forward through collaborations including Hackathons. This meetup was one of the milestones, and EOSYS looks forward to doing more. If you are interested to collaborate or have any question, please feel free to contact us.

EOSYS, as the First EOSIO Block Producer Candidate representing South Korea, will support successful Mainnet Launch of EOSIO on June by voicing on behalf of Korea community in EOSIO community, leading and guiding domestic/foreign BP candidates.

EOS HK Meetup

EOSYS팀의 Charles(CEO)와 Christy(Head of Business Development)가 4월 6일 홍콩에서 열린 EOS 밋업에 참석하였습니다. 이 날 저희는 Block.one의 여러 관계자와 전 세계의 BP 후보들을 두루 만나며 한국 대표 BP 후보로서의 공약과 계획을 다시 한 번 알리고 파트너십을 다지는 시간을 가졌습니다.

이 날은 특히 EOS의 주요 관계자들을 통해 여러 공식 발표가 있었는데요, EOSIO Dawn 3.0 발표, 글로벌 해커톤 시리즈 발표, 아시아 대상 VC 파트너십 등 큼직한 발표가 있었습니다. 그 중 가장 많은 내용이 담긴 Dawn 3.0은 저희가 번역한 EOSIO Dawn 3.0 Now Available를 통해 주요 내용을 살펴보실 수 있습니다.

Crypto VIP Night

4월 3일 화요일 저녁, 이 날은 특히 서울에서 Deconomy forum이 진행되는 등 전 세계 크립토 업계의 이목이 대한민국에 집중되어 있던 시간이었는데요, EOSYS의 주최로 소수의 크립토 VIP분들을 초청하여 작은 네트워킹 행사를 가졌습니다.

당일 행사장에는 블록체인과 암호화폐 VC, 투자자, 기업인, 연구기관, 언론인 등 150여 분께서 참석해 주셨으며, EOSYS와 함께하는 국내 주요 블록체인 프로젝트를 소개하는 시간을 가졌습니다.

연세대 블록체인 연구회 YBL과 함께한 ‘블록체인과의 만남’

3월 23일, 연세대학교 제 4공학관에 블록체인에 깊은 관심을 갖고 있는 학생들이 모였습니다. 이 만남에는 EOSYS 팀의 표철민 CEO가 연사로 나서 약 100명 가량의 학생들을 대상으로 블록체인의 과거와 현재, 미래를 살펴보는 시간을 가졌습니다.

또한 EOS의 장점과 강점, EOSYS가 지향하는 바를 설명하며 앞으로 그려나갈 EOS 생태계를 소개해주기도 했는데요, 많은 학생들이 이에 집중하며 관심과 호응을 보여주었고 강연을 마친 후에도 질의응답을 통해 학생들이 평소 궁금해 하던 것들에 대해 해소해줄 수 있는 기회를 가졌습니다. 연세대 블록체인 연구회(이하 ‘연블’)의 회장을 맡고 있는 이현제 학생은 이번 강의에 대해 다음과 같은 소감을 남겼습니다.

‘강연을 통해 평소 부차적인 것들에 정신이 팔려있던 저에게 블록체인의 본질이 무엇인지, 학생의 신분으로서 할 수 있는 최선의 것들이 무엇인지를 전달받았습니다. 많은 경험과 노력을 통해 건강한 블록체인 생태계를 만들어 나가겠다는 결심이 드는 좋은 강연이었습니다.’

앞으로 연세대 뿐 아니라 여러 대학교의 블록체인 동아리나 학회, 단체에 필요한 부분(해커톤 등)들을 지원해 줄 방법들을 찾아 나가고 있습니다. 관심이 있거나 궁금하신 점이 있다면 언제든지 문의를 부탁드립니다.

EOSIO香港聚会

EOSYS队伍参加了在4月6日在香港举办的EOSIO香港聚会。Charles（CEO）与Christy（商业发展部门代表）与Block.one和来自各国的BP候选人进行了深入的交流，并且再次宣传了作为代表韩国的BP候选人的计划以及承诺，与它们建立起巩固的合作关系。

那天还有了一系列的重要官方通知，包括EOSIO Dawn 3.0发布，全球Hackahton系列发布，与亚洲VC的合作关系等。其中Dawn 3.0包含着最多的内容，您可以通过我们所翻译的 EOSIO Dawn 3.0 Now Available查看一些重要内容。

Crypto VIP Night

在4月3日，规模最庞大的区块链大会之一的Deconomy在韩国首尔举行并召集了很多来自各国的加密货币业界人士。在晚上，EOSYS邀请了在加密货币行业内的贵宾并简单给介绍了韩国的区块链/加密货币市场概况，提供一个很好的社交平台。

区块链/加密货币VC、投资者、企业家、研究员、记者等来自不同行业的150余人来照亮了现场。EOSYS也简单介绍了国内主要区块链项目与EOSYS的一些计划，巩固在韩国的EOSIO生态与社区。

与延世大学区块链研究所 YBL进行的“与区块链的相遇”

在3月23日，对区块链怀着一份热情的学生们聚在了延世大学第四工学馆。在本次活动，EOSYS的Charles代表向一百多名学生做出了有关‘区块链的过去，现在与未来’的演讲。

Charles代表还给介绍了EOS的优点与特点，EOSYS的抱负以及EOSIO生态的蓝图。本次演讲得到了很多学生的大力响应，演讲结束后学生们通过问答时间解决了他们的质疑。对于本次演讲，YBL的会长Hyunjae Lee说道：

“平时我往往被次要的东西所迷住了，而本次演讲教我明白了区块链的本质是什么，作为学生我能够做到什么。听完本次演讲，我下定了决心去构建健康的区块链生态。本次演讲特别的赞。”

EOSYS为弘扬区块链、加密货币与EOSIO，将会通过Hackathon等合作方法持续支持大学社团。本次活动只是个小小的里程碑，而EOSYS希望做到更多。若您对合作感兴趣或有任何问题，请随时打扰我们。
