Introducing KSWAP.APP: The Dynamic Fee and Reward Bridge for Hive Swaps

Hello Hives,
It's time to make an official announcement about the latest Swap Service named KSWAP.APP. As you may already know, we previously introduced a swap service named uswap.app.

What is the main difference between USWAP & KSWAP?

The main difference between Uswap.app and Kswap.app bridges is that while Uswap is based on fixed fees and rewards, the Kswap bridge uses a formula to provide dynamic fees and rewards.

Defines Your Expectation

With Kswap.app, we have introduced a new feature that can protect you from paying higher fees than you expected. Now, you can define your expected swap amount in the memo section, and if the bridge can reach that amount, it will process the swap. Otherwise, you will receive a refund.

The Formula We Used

BASE_FEE = 0.001;
DIFF_COEFICIENT = 0.005;

diff = ((hive_to_swap * 0.5 + hive_in_pool) / (shive_in_pool + hive_in_pool)) - 0.5;

adjusted_base_fee = Math.max( BASE_FEE * (1 - 2 * Math.abs(diff)), 0 );

price = 1 - 2 * diff * DIFF_COEFICIENT;

shive_to_receive = hive_to_swap * price * (1 - adjusted_base_fee);
You can use a similar method to find the swap amount for "hive_to_receive" as well.

Fees & Liquidity

The initial liquidity of the bridge is set at 50,000 Hive/Swap.Hive. The maximum fee will be 0.5%, and the maximum reward will be 0.5% at the Kswap.app Bridge. Similar to Uswap.app, this bridge also provides rewards if you send funds to the lower liquidity side of the bridge, but you should not forget that this bridge contains a 0.1% base-fee, which can be 0.0% if bridge is totally unbalanced.

Refund Process

Similar to the Uswap.app, we are using two refund strategies here. First, we are trying to make refunds through an automated mechanism. If that fails, we will process manual refunds.

    I have been using uswap, it's a good alternative to Hive-engine. The only barrier is that the minimum amount is 1 HIVE.

    I will definitely try out kswap, and will give my feedbacck after using it. Thank you for this update.
