The Turnip

in #life6 years ago

I did this peace for @donnadavisart. And somewhere in the post there was a question:

… from what story did I get inspiration for this? Get me the title of the story and that will win you one of these signatures as a reward.

It figures that the free ride went to my fellow countrywoman. I thought The Gigantic Turnip was a worldlier story… maybe I was wrong after all. There is many variations of it and the story is simple … it tells of a gigantic turnip. Shocking I know. As gigantic as it was the grandpa could not pull it out on his own, so grandma helped, and then the dog, and then the cat, and then the mouse, etc. The gist of the story is there is strength in working together. So they plucked that turnip out and @mystic-creature plucked this “reward”.

Hope it is up to your liking.

Ja, se strinjam :-D bolj primerno nisi mogla naredit :-D nisem še nekaj veliko pisala postov, ampak v večini bodo o živalih, tak da zadetek v polno :-) pa ta kontradikcija ptičjega pajka in metulja, super :-D res sem nadvse zadovoljna, hvalaaa :-D

Looks very lovely and very interesting story behind it! Amazing job as always :)

That is really cool. I love your work! I still use your doodles to this day :) They're still awesome.

Great artwork, the tiny butterfly is the cutest thing!
How do you do all your artwork? Do you use a tablet?

Depends on style....for some pictures I use the tablet yes. For this I use a mouse, a lap top and an old program called Flash Pro 8. While u can draw freely in it I prefer to draw everything in lines ... so this is made by making a straight line then curving it to your own desire.

That is a wonderful story and for some reason I have s similiar story somewhere in the recesses of my mind, but I can't quite pin point it, so I wonder if there is a similar version stashed in my databases?

I have been wanting to do a post to thank you for your wonderful drawing but was considering how best to do it other than just, 'thank you the end' so I might be doing something in kind :) We shall see.

there is quite a lot of variations of it...some have a pesant girl and a boy sent by the queen to pluck it out etc...

...as for the gratitude - there rly is no need. But if it inspires you or whatever, then go for it. :) I always say motivation and ispiration are the fuel for creation. :)
