My return to Hive and some plans for the future!

in #lifelast year (edited)

Hello everyone!

It has once again been a really long time since I last made a post. I have finally found the time and energy to be more active again and I decided to make a post to kind of explain where I've been and so on before I get back to my normal activities. Without getting too personal I just kind of wanted to share a bit of what I've been up to.

As some of you may know, I relocated a couple of months ago and there were some issues that kind of turned everything into a mess. The place I was going to live in was going to be renovated and the contractor that was doing it said it wouldn't take longer than 2 months. In reality, it ended up taking much longer and it was only finished a couple weeks ago. That kind of kept me from really settling down here and I was constantly on the move waiting for it to be ready only to be told at the end of the week that they need to extend more, week after week. It was really annoying because the good internet wasn't easy to find in the cheap hotels I was staying in. Anyway, during that time, I tried to work on some other things and eventually when it was ready I finally moved in.

There are some other reasons too for my absence but I don't want to get into those as they are mostly personal. Let's just say it's been kind of a weird year.

I am however super excited to get back to Hive. I have a lot of plans for new games to play, and places to visit and I also want to start sharing some other aspects of my life. More on that later. I want to improve the quality of my content and try to make everything a little bit better.

Hive has been a big part of my life for many years now and I have honestly missed it a lot. There is a lot of weird stuff going on in the world lately and it's nice to know that Hive is still here and I can always get back to my own little world where I can focus on the things I like and share them with others. It feels really weird having been away for so long. I'd like to say a big thank you to the @hivegc team who have kept the train running in my absence. You guys are amazing!

Now it's probably going to take a little while until I can fully get back to normal but I am very happy that I can finally get started at least. I am probably going to start with some gaming content but I am actually not sure what to play haha. It seems like there aren't that many great games around lately. Does anyone have any recommendations for me? I've decided to start with new games instead of finishing the ones I was playing because it's been so insanely long since that lol. Let me know in the comments if you have any good games for me.

I hope everyone out there is doing well and I will see you around here on Hive again very soon.

Peace, Straw

Happy to see you here again bro!

Thank you buddy. Happy to be here again!

I'm so glad you're back, man. I missed reading your game posts, I think there's a game called Sons of the Forest that's been getting a lot of play from publishers while you've been away. There's also a game called Satisfactory that @pusen is playing these days. I don't know if you've played it, but Pusen is addicted to it right now 😂.

Thanks man I will have to check those out. Sons of the Forest looks really cool.

Hey Straw, I don’t think I’ve commented before but I’ve seen some of your videos. Welcome back!

I cant wait for more content to release for SotF and decicated servers would be cool, right now it’s up to 8 people only I think. Would be awesome to play with people from #hivegc together ;) Cheers dude!

Hey man, didn't realize there was so much interest for that game. I'm gonna look into buying it soon and I'll see what I can do about getting the players together. Seems like a really nice game haha.

Welcome back and congrats on surviving that period of in between. I know I’m happy to be settled in where I am, moving and not knowing what is next can be very stressful.

Thanks man I appreciate it. Nice to see some familiar faces right away. It has indeed been stressful but I am super excited about what's next.

We don’t forget so easily. See you around again soon.

Comeback ain't easy thing to do once u take a break. Nice dood! Welcome back. Now I believe I can make my comeback too.

You can do it man! Thanks dood, feels good to be back.

Yooo! Welcome back, nice to hear you've settled in now. Looking forward to watching some gameplay, been a while!

You gonna continue on that rick and morty game? :D

Haha I think High on Life is gonna be the only game that I will continue from the old ones.

Thank you it's nice to be back!

Welcome back ✌️💫

Thank you!

Hive needs you bro. Thanks for sharing and welcome back 😀 😀 😀

Yo, What's up, Straw? How've you been? And where have you been?

Hey man! I've been good. How are you doing? I've been a bit all over the place but now I am finally home.

How are you doing?

Doing quite alright I'd say, not too shabby.

I've been a bit all over the place but now I am finally home

Did you move to a new country or something? Or is it just a new house?

Oh yeah I was traveling around South East Asia for a while and in the end I moved here haha.

Dayum, after travelling here for so long, I guess you just fell in love with this part of the world haha.

Kudos to you man, hopefully you'll fit right in. 🔥

Welcome back and good luck with your plans 😁

You can just be honest and say that you've been in hiding, training, just waiting for the announcement from Ironmace that they're dropping the next Dark and Darker playtest this month. No reason to lie, m8.

Lmao yeah honestly that whole Dark and Darker thing has messed up my life man.

Well, don't worry. We should know by Tuesday if they're getting sued or not, and if not then the playtest should happen this month. You yourself can rise like Jesus, and smite some greasy fucking nerds with me in hopefully just a few weeks.

Things you love to see: this.

The man, the beast, the legend himself. Welcome back man! It's really good to see you're back!

If you want to start playing something new, dude, I recommend 1000% Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. It's a souls, so you'll probably have a hard time: But it's 3 million times more enjoyable than any other souls out there (and, in a way, it feels a bit easier).

CS 2 is around the corner so I hope we'll play after its full release :)

My maaaan. Thank you! Nice to be back!

Haha I actually made a let's play on that a long time ago and I had such a hard time lmao. Kinda feel like I could give it another try to. Lemme look into that.

Can't wait for CS2 man. I am so excited for that and we will play for sure.

I had such a hard time lmao

On my first try I deleted the game XD. After a couple of months I reinstalled it and maaan, now it is one of my favorite games. I enjoyed it a lot (and the main history is amazing asf).

I'll wait for your posts then :) It's so nice to see you back

Welcome back! Missed your post very much since you're the first few bloggers that I followed when I first got exposed to the Hive community back in Nov 2022. I have recently decided to embark on this blogging journey myself and just written my first ever post earlier this week! Hope to hear if you have any advise for a newbie like me 😁

Oh yeah and with regards to a recommendation on game, I'm currently playing a web3 game called Splinterlands. Mentioned it in my post as well if you're interested to find out more!

Cheers and welcome back again! @strawhat

Thank you. That means a lot. I am glad to hear you decided to start posting yourself as well. I'll make sure to checkout your post. I did play a little bit of Splinterlands back in the day. Might have to give it another try at some point. Thanks for the recommendation!

Thanks alot! Yeah do ping me if you require any help with the game, I'm more than willing to share more with you or introduce you to different platform to get started if needed! 😉
