This concludes this iteration of the MET Art Contests - congratulations to the contest winners! While there were only three winners, it needs to be stated that there were many phenomenal entries. It was an extremely difficult decision, but one that had to be made! If you did not win this contest, there will be many more to follow. If you haven't already, please make sure to follow the @met and @pixel accounts to support your friendly business and art communities and to see future initiatives!

What is the Morte et Tributa (MET) Community?
MET's purpose is to provide business professionals and intellectuals with a central hub to which they can share valuable, general business-related knowledge and increase awareness of the cryptocurrency regulation that affects individuals and businesses world-wide.
The @met account will be used to advocate and foster a community of individualists that will analyze and critique the current state of crypto regulation and how it affects each individual state, province, country etc. In a time of regulatory uncertainty, it is of utmost importance to advocate for a regulatory framework which incentivizes innovation.
Please note, however, that while I have emphasized the importance of establishing a fair and forgiving regulatory crypto framework, the MET community will support all value adding business related information including, but not limited to, legal information, investment information, marketing information, etc.
In traditional business, companies and individuals have always “protected” their intellectual property, as there was no monetary incentive for sharing it. I believe, that with the introduction of blockchain technology and, later, mutual aid society (MAS) based chains, this traditional mindset has become obsolete.
Who Should Join
As mentioned earlier, we are looking for forward-thinking business people who will be willing to engage and help the community grow. Startup founders and enthusiasts, business professionals, crypto enthusiasts and traders, SME business owners, and everyone that hopes simply learn about business. The @MET community is a hub where knowledge is freely shared for all by all, so we encourage members to create valuable business content that pertains to businesses or cryptocurrency. Conversations can ensue from these posts that may lead to regulations and policies.
So, MET is for everyone with a business mind, that hopes to either impart knowledge or wants to learn about the business landscape of different societies from members who reside in different parts of the world.
What You Stand to Gain
We recognize that community building can be a daunting task and, for that reason, we have put in place the right incentives as a way of rewarding individuals who create quality business content across MAS-chain platforms, using the MET tag accounts.
Also, we reward individuals who make efforts to grow our Discord community by providing MET tokens to those who invite friends to join in! Also, by engaging in tasks created/sponsored by @MET, individuals will earn more MET tokens these include: winning competitions, participating in initiatives, and by simply being being a valuable member to the MET community.
What are MET?
MET are cross-chain tokens backed by the MET account's Whalestake. These tokens provide holders the ability to reward their posts with the MET account, as well as share the post to the MET account's feed for all the community to see. MET tokens are only given to people who: Participate in Challenges, Win Contests, and do other things of value for the community!
MET tokens are on BitShares! So, please make sure you have a BitShares/OpenLedger account to receive and send them for rewards/shares on your Whaleshares posts!

Sharing Pixel-WhaleToken's Philosophy
Why do we do this?
We know how hard it is to bring art to life and make a way of living with that. At least before it becomes a profession. But this is not something we think people should to suffer: we want to change the equation and help those who choose the art as a way of living. Because art is not a only a job, it is not only a profession. It is a philosophy of life and a way of living. It is a way of thinking and conceiving the World.
It is something too beautiful to let it die on the people with potential, just because of the bitter lack of resources. We can't give ourselves the pleasure of ignoring it and let those flowers to wither away. Because if we do, we are part of the problem, not the solution.
What is the solution?
Whaleshares is a prodigy child that has just been born. It is a platform that is already providing countless resources, funding and support to projects that will create synergy in as many was as possible. The best of all is that time will just bring this amazing project to grow and give tools to even more people, for helping them to achieve their goals and dreams.
We understand that when you are thinking more about paying you bills rather than making your projects to come true, you can't apply 100% of energy to create and make things happen. But we are here to change that.
But how do we...?
We will protect our fellow artists and support the #art and #photography community by rewarding their efforts and work of quality in many different ways. We know how hard it is to start this path. You are not alone.
But we need you, fellow artists, to promote yourselves in the right way. Because due to the increasing size of our community, it will be harder and harder to find you and your fellows between so many. make a proper use of the tags, discord channels and comments section.
Make a proper use of the tags
There are two main and unique tabs that you can use as the main tag for better visibility; #art and #photography. Only those two tags will be considered.
Use the Official Whaleshares Discord Server to promote your work
Join us to our Official Whaleshares Discord Server and get right onto the Artist-Corner or Photography-Corner channels and promote your work. Remember to read the rules of the server and post once and only once (posts with mentioned more than once won't be considered).
Share your pieces on the comments section!
Add a thumbnail of your artwork or photography with a short description and let the community to support you! Sharing your artwork on the comment section will give you a good chance of being seen by our staff and get you promoted. But remember to not spam: Remember to share your artwork/post only once. Otherwise it won't be taken in consideration.
Bringing Communities together.
Language won't be a barrier for Pixel. People from many different languages and corners of the world are already working hard to make this possible for those which english is not yet an option.
Many different multi-language communities are coming all together to bring their tongues and efforts on the same direction.
Our goal is also to support with warm words and education to those that could push further and just need a little bit of stimulus to get their stuff done in a much better way.
