Interventions in the Private Bank of Venezuela.

Hello friends of Steemit! Today I bring you news that has alarmed many Venezuelans because the national government has intervened for 90 days one of the most important banks in the country as is Banesco arresting 11 directors of the entity.

Banesco

The intervention of Banesco by the National Government due to the detected irregularities that incur crimes defined by our laws in particular serious and notorious failures to their obligations of prevention of capital legitimation.

Statement by the National Government:

"The Bolivarian government, through the sectoral vice-presidency of the Economy, in accordance with the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and other laws that govern the protection of the economic rights of the people, informs the Venezuelan people about the intervention measure of the Banco Banesco, Banco Universal, CA to guarantee the full operation and continuity of the provision of services after the arrest of senior executives including the president of the aforementioned banking entity, due to irregularities detected that incur crimes defined by our laws especially serious and notorious failures to its obligations of prevention of legitimation of capitals."

"It is important to emphasize that this intervention measure will maintain the activity of the financial institution and is carried out precisely so that the institution retains its commercial activity and continues to provide its services to the users of the system with absolute normality."

"This action of protection to the Venezuelan people will have an application for a term of ninety days during which it is expected to redirect the administration of the bank, cleaning it up and stripping it of all that illicit activity that favors the commission of financial crimes."

"In this regard, the public is informed that the National Executive is appointing an administrative board headed by Deputy Minister of Finance Yomana Koteich for the duration of the intervention that will guarantee at all times the rights of the users, shareholders and shareholders, as well as the transparency of the operations carried out through that entity."

In this intervention, 11 arrests of senior executives were carried out within the banking entity and a new board of directors was elected.

Directed by Deputy Minister of Finance, Yomana Koteich, who will be in charge for the duration of the intervention.

Meanwhile, the president of this banking entity pronounced:

"There are no financial reasons that justify the administrative intervention or for a day, much less for 90 days" - Juan Carlos Escotet

Recall that at the end of 2017 the constituent and first vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, had announced that "fraudulent transactions" related to this bank would be investigated, a week later, his position changed from accuser to " sales closer "by ensuring that the national government would buy Banesco.

SUDEBAN

SUDEBAN is the Superintendency of the Institutions of the Banking Sector of Venezuela, chaired by Antonio Morales who on Friday gave some statements regarding what happened with the intervention of Banesco for 90 days.

"It is an intervention measure where the financial institution will maintain all its operations without any problem. The idea is to preserve, that the institution retains its banking activity and continues to provide its services to all its users with absolute normality "- Antonio Morales President of SUDEBAN.

"Italcambio is also being evaluated and supervised. The entire financial sector is subject to preventive investigations "- Antonio Morales.

Banco Occidental de Descuento B.O.D

The afternoon of last Friday 04/05/2018 officials of the Military Counterintelligence Directorate (Dgcim) closed the accesses of the Western Bank Discount Tower (BOD), located in La Castellana, Caracas.

After the closing of the facilities by the officers, cars arrived with official identification of the police agency. The officials are inside the building's premises with long, hooded weapons.

When the agents left the place they took a civilian in suit in one of the vehicles. At least three vans and five bikes.

In the hours of Friday night 04/05/2018 the Bank gave these statements:

"We thank all the people and institutions for the numerous expressions of support to our bank and we want to inform the public that our president, Dr. Víctor Vargas, the Board of Directors and all our management and administrative staff are in charge of the operations of the bank, "reads the statement."

According to the document, the bank continues to perform its tasks and operations on a regular basis. He said they remain committed to the country and the work they have been doing for more than 60 years.

"The bank's operations are carried out with total and absolute normality. We continue to grow and work on a regular basis, meeting our usual responsibilities (...) We reiterate that we are a bank committed to Venezuela".

I think that this is just a pot of smoke to divert the view of the real problems that the country is going through, the reality is that the only one to blame for the economic problems that Venezuela is experiencing is the fault of the national executive who has implemented erroneous economic policies and failed.
