Introduction
ok, so yes it is a click bait title.... and this is our Rising Star post we do most weeks. However we feel sometimes Rising Star does not get the credit it deserves and Star Pro I think is the best performing token on Hive in the last year. Not just because we love Rising Star as a game but because we think Star Pro is actually the best performing token on hive.
Now we do not have exact figures for this but Star Pro was available last year at around 4 hive at one point and hung out at around 10 hive for quite a while. We stupidly sold a lot of our Star Pro at around 30 Hive, although we now wish we hadn't! This is obviously not financial advice but just a wake up call to what could be one of the strongest tokens on Hive.
Some numbers
OK so where does it sit currently? Well there is so little for sale on the market, so if you wanted to buy some off HE then it is gonna cost you 77 Hive ..... this is a lot!
There is quite a strong LP pool though so you could get a Star Pro for 55 hive. I mean if you bought in at 5 - 10 hive then you have 500-1000% gains! This is why we wanted to highlight this token and believe it one of the best investment tokens on Hive.
Now if you wanted to buy 100 SP then you would have to pay considerably more, and that is for only 100 of the tokens!
Why is this and where is it going?
So think about all your game tokens and which ones are up? I doubt you are looking through your wallet and doing a little dance on how well they are all doing. To be fair the Starbits price has not been great but we feel this will change soon. Star Pro is deflationary but you need it to do the more advanced parts of the game. The only way more can be made is buy burning Starbits.
People are starting to realise this and are using the music promoter, the in game way to get Star Pro and the only way to mint it. You can see to do this you have to burn SB. YOu can see yesterdays rewards of 11.04 Star Pro being minted. This is the total inflation for SP!
Now there are many features of the game that require SP, this is where the deflation happens.
Music Lessons
Everyone will need to do these at some point to balance their EGO out or they basically will reduce their earnings to zero. We need to do probably 2 lessons a day..having to burn 0.0336 Star Pro every time. Now we are just one player so imagine everyone having to do this every day....that is a lot of Burn!
Blends
The new Pro Charts have required new cards. These cards require Star Pro to mint and are only available for a limited time. They cost 0.15 Star Pro a time. So this burns a a lot of SP depending on how many are minted
Festival tour
This is an older feature but to do this and get the wristbands and the special cards you would need 1 SP a time and do it 52 times...
Seasonal missions
Some of the seasonal missions required SP to do. As they are not available right now I am not sure how much they were but was definitely a burn! You also needed a Fix it card to blend the special seasonal card too
Conclusion
Rising Star has achieved this all during a difficult bear market and a reducing player base. Imagine what this could do during a bull market! The last bull market RS went crazy and it has come a long way since then. We think that RS is only just starting even though they have been building for 4 years now and have built a sustainable Hive reward pool as well. This is definitely a game you should look at, not just because it has sold tokenomics but because it is fun to play too!
