Dark Pinup NFT's return to the blockchain!

What’s up, Hive? Here I am. I’ve begun a new chapter in my life as of today. I don’t go into the changes in my life as far as my interpersonal relationships, but suffice it to stay, I’m now on the other side of an entanglement that drew heavily from my focus and productivity. That may sound like a negative but for me, it’s not. It has ended, and I’m back to realigning my goals with what I can achieve in the weeks, months and years to come. One milestone I’m proud I managed to get out last week was the new Dark Pinup City of Angels NFT set. This was @mirrorpool’s first independent release.

@facingsofficial launched Dark Pinup in March of 2021 on the WAX blockchain. It was a perfect storm that, for once, weighed entirely in my favor. During the golden era of NFT’s, platforms like AtomicHub were able to catapult collections in to six figure territory in minutes. No one had released a polished, professional photography set and we had no idea how it would do. Once the launch was like, $90,000 of supply was sold in 11 minutes. Act One eventually sold out, followed by Act Two and a burn event to reduce supply for diehard collectors. It was insane to be a part of.

I eventually left @facingsofficial. As time went on, it seemed to make more sense for the art department to be its own entity and for the engineers at the company to focus on the platform rather than concierge services. Myself, @felblob and @swarddraws formed @mirrorpool. We’ve been working on a set called @neverwel but Dark Pinup was moved to the front of the line when the bear market hit and we had to make money. After a few months of production and figuring out the NeftyBlocks platform, we were finally ready to release the new expansion on August 1st.

Now, realistically, things have changed since 2021 obviously, but considering the shape of the NFT market, @felblob and I were wondering if we’d make back the $60 we spent on ads. Once the sale was live, I was floored to see supply moving and as of this blog, we’ve sold almost 200 packs of 500 total supply. The collect doesn’t have any staking or utility. Our collectors just genuinely love the art and quality of the release, and the feels pretty good for a team that’s been working through a crypto ice age. Thank you, @ganjafarmer!

You are very welcome and have an amazing day...

Very cool! Just picked up some packs to go along with my other packs from the earlier releases!

Awesome, @bozz! Thank you! This was a big milestone for us at @mirrorpool. It over performed and I couldn't be happier about it. I hope you like them.

The packs I have opened so far look amazing!

I wonder why you wouldn't use NftShowroom on Hive instead? Any particular reasons?

I love @nftshowroom and I post my illustration NFT's there.

For the Dark Pinup releases, we do entire packs with odds and different rarities, plus our collector base is on WAX since that's where we did the first release in 2021.
