it is long gone since the rain wept
cascading down my window pane
or so it seemed.
so loudly the sound surrounded those four walls.
its shadows- their silhouettes glowed
to the pattern formed by rhythm.
nature never sleeps.
tonight a reveal of the nights song
awareness of verse in the moment
i pause.
i listen.
i accept.
a song complete with loss of lyrics.
and as my eyes get heavy
those visiting shadows fade and close.
i sleep content.
