This past week I experienced one of those moments that changes your life completely in the short term.
At 11 a.m last Tuesday morning I received a call from the training centre where I had applied a few months ago to study for a higher degree in web development.

-''Hello, we are calling you from the xyz centre, we have reviewed your application, if you are interested there is still one place left...''.
+''Uh, so what would be the process to get in?''
-''Basically tell me yes or no''.
+"Come on, sign me up.''

Oh damn, didn't expected that call at all. I almost gave up on them calling me since I was late with the application and my % of chances to enter were low and I'm being generous. There's massive demand to do these kind of courses.
And that is all. From that moment on I started to rush to gather the necessary documentation to formalise my enrolment to start 24 hours later.
I have to say that I started classes a week later than the rest of the students and I've had a stressful few days catching up with the syllabus. But so far I am very happy with the change and with getting out of my comfort zone. This will be a very interesting 2 year ride.
In a few days I will be up to date with everything and it will feel a little less overwhelming hehe
On other News: 500K HP milestone on empo.voter
And I say 'little update' in the title but this is truly a massive milestone for the Hive Power Ventures project.
I would like to take this opportunity to announce that the powerdowns are just starting and that there will be no buybacks for at least 2 weeks (until at least 1 month after the start of $PWR farming).
This way dry powder aren't wasted on early sellers. Better to save that Hive for later.
And I guess that's it for this post.
I would also like to take this opportunity to hope that all of you who were able to attend this year's HiveFest had a great time (last year was great but this year I have to say that it was not good for me to go to the other side of the ocean at this time of year for various reasons).

I've been checking a few lessons on basic HTML and the such as a self-learner, but a ton on my plate nowadays to be consistent for now; nevertheless I think those courses are incredibly useful and you will make great use of all that knowledge! And 500k is a huge milestone, my contribution is just a tiny drop but I'm glad it's there. All the best for the course (and everything else in general ;) ! !BEER

It is always nice when our expectations are exceeded.
One of my distinct memories of my own education experience was how much my life in the real world influenced it. Given that many of the students around me had very little of it themselves.
I hope you end up finding that what you "bring to the table," from your experience in real life, is invaluable to you in adding ... "new tools to your toolbox!" 🚀

since I am one of the oldest in the class, I have noticed that, how they perceive time differently and have concerns that I simply don't share... oh, if only they knew how fast time passes.
Not much time to worry about irrelevant things, lots of things to learn.
It's still early to say it but since I made the decision this is has been conceived as 'an investment on myself'.

Web developing degree it will for sure add so much to your personal resume, and also for your global knowledge. I've to catch up with @pardinus about the staking in your delegation program. I'm pretty sure that is easy-peasy, but since I don't have a lot of Hive in my HP I wanna guarantee that I can support it correctly.
It is also a great milestone to have that HP stacked in the project! Congratulations on that. I'm seeing everyone replies on the telegram channel and the YT live streaming (when is at "decent hours" for the EU viewers), and I'm kind of nostalgic about the HF7... How knows that if we cannot attend the HF9, right?

I'm part of your club but after trying a lot on my own, I guess it doesn't hurt to try with a bit more structured course, plus the connections.
It's a gret changing of daily habits so far :)
