Under the ice of Antarctica, mountain ranges and valleys were detected

Researchers have discovered three deep valleys under the mountain ranges hidden under the snowy mountains of Antarctica and the glacier. This research has been published in Geophysical Research Letters. Detailed data from the satellite helped to take pictures of the Earth's surface and its deep inside parts, but the location of the empty space around the southern pole area was not known. It was discovered through the European Space Agency Polaragap Project.

The figures from the airborne radar were described by the location of how the ice rocks flows between East and West Antarctica. Researchers at Northumbria University in the UK discovered three deep valleys under mountain ranges and glaciers. The largest valley foundation throw is more than 350 kilometers long and 35 kilometers wide. Its length is about the distance from London to Manchester. Two other valleys are so vast.

The researcher Kate Winter in the university said, "Because there was a difference in the data of the satellite around the South Pole, then none of us knew what was actually there in it. So we are very happy to release the results of the Polaragap project. ''
