Who Are Your People? A Tribute to My Steemians

I would be lying if I said this post was truly my own idea, and I will not take credit for it. It is not so much an innovation as it is a response to some of the things said and unsaid that have touched me in the past 48 days of my journey on Steem. I have met some people here who have managed to change my perspectives, teach me, inspire me and call me on my bullshit – and here I have also reconciled with the few loved ones with indirect dialog. All the while, love, compassion and care as undertones. There's never a bad time to acknowledge people who contribute towards your happiness. The BFF/confidant, the one always ready to overthrow empires with you
@limabeing, this post was inspired by your last one, you’re my beautiful shining star. Thank you for #teamgirlpowa, and the ingenious idea behind it. This shows nothing but passion and the need for real connection. You’re a nurturing sweetheart, and even though you’re the one to pop my cherry of collaborating with someone over truly sensitive topics online that hit home, I adore the idea… just as I adore you – your strong persona and your soft heart. May our discussions on feminism forever be fiery and hardcore! If there was ever a feminist revolution, I’d assume you’re behind it. (or we’d just plan it together)

The quiet philosopher with a scotch, cigar and a quill
@outtayourbox, Liam, one of the first people I stumbled across when I first started steeming, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. The 18 year old cutie is a visionary so strong, that he’s likely to stir you, and sweep you with conversation so enthralling and esoteric, just like waves of the ocean when it’s raging and angry. You’re one to defy norms and go against the current, and the bravery behind it has always been striking. Liam, your struggle is what defines the amazing person you’re being shaped into. Your happiness over writing and accomplishments is endearing and I truly hope and pray for you to grow in it. I do not believe in mediocrity, and you’re one who reinforces my love for the opposite by merely existing. Your work will always inspire millions, know this.

The humble creator on the road to self-discovery
@Rodeo670, the one who will always remain humble, despite some truly gifted part of his mind knows he does wonders in his writing, and will always greet you with love and affection. I think you’ll do wonderful as a writer, and your passion behind each word, each thought and each post drive me to do the same. The human bot with a heart of gold
@rougebot. I wasn’t surprised when I saw you in @girlpowa, it has not yet ceased to amaze me how wonderfully caring you are even to people you don’t know. The quiet trust building was a smooth ride with you, and I know if ever in trouble, you’ll be there in a jiffy with all your heart in it, and you’d offer your expertise without holding back. The heart of gold in this bot is special to me.

The one who inspires from a distance
@surpassinggoogle. Someone who’s made people stand in front of mirrors and take a hard look at themselves when years of effort may have gone in vain. The truly inspiring soul who talks so easily of love, unity, affection and oneness, it starts to take physical form. The one who stimulates truth and love and acceptance of the self.

The warm, helpful one
@jrswab, always on with pro-nature poetry, unveiling all that’s beautiful to him, and also investing time in helping others get around to learning more. You’re one of the very few people who would happily pass on wisdom and advice and revel in seeing others progress and prosper. You’re also a sweetheart and make for amazing intellectual conversation.

These are the few people I've come to adore in such a short time, and I'm lucky to have had the opportunity to do so. Of course, this is just a small number, and there are so many more who have touched me in so many ways and I have nothing but love and respect for them. In the next post, perhaps...
