There are so many more examples over the years because of censorship of the services, authors suffer with their years of work, contents and follower, etc.
I think that's why we need Steemit, and decentralized/blockchain technologies. Bitcoin started evolution and there are dozen more example of blockchain tech, these days, I believe in just about couple years, we will see big shift towards decentralization of everything.
Cherish the moment guys and keep on going with development and implementation of the amazing technologies.
